Tyler
"And you're sure your roommate won't mind?" I asked as I parked the car. I meant it when I said the first thing I would do was take her out when I was comfortable after my surgery. It started out perfect, and then it literally rained on my parade. I swear Virginia has the most bipolar weather ever."She's crazy, but she's gonna deal with it."
Half of me expected Erien to decline ever going out with me. The other half knew that I had nothing to worry about. I mean just by that night at the club, I felt as if I was already at third base. It was too easy.My goal today was to genuinely get to know Erien. I don't wanna smash or anything like that. It's just something about her that makes a different side of me come out.
Erien disappeared down the hall, leaving me alone in the living room.
"Who are you?" A woman with a dark shade of brown skin appeared. I'm guessing this is the roommate. She was pretty, but she was nothing compared to Erien.
"I'm Tyler and you are?"
"Tyler? As in Tyler's Tyler? You're the guy from the.. oh okay. I'm Leah," Leah introduced her and sat beside me, making the sofa sink on her side, "you're that instafamous dude. Aren't you?"
I let out a heap of hot air, "Yeah." I didn't refer myself as instafamous or whatever the hell it was. I just like taking dope pictures.
"And you have a girlfriend. I need you to leave. You're not about to drag Ty in any mess."
"LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Erien's little voice sounded through the house.
Leah mumbled something before hopping to the couch across the room. Erien walked back in with a different outfit, a matching nike outfit, and sat beside me.
"I'm sorry for my obnoxious roommate. I warned you she was crazy!"
"It's cool. I'm here for you anyway," I smiled widely, showing my perfect set of colgates.
We ended up talking for hours. I told her about me and I got a little bit from her. Erien avoided a lot of things. She had her guard up. After that, we were consumed by random things.
The air conditioning system turned on and I immediately felt the cool breeze swoosh against my skin. I noticed Erien grab a cover so I took off my shoes, making myself comfortable. Somehow I knew I wasn't going home anytime soon.
"Do you wanna watch cartoons or a movie?"
I'd rather watch you.
"Uhh just put a movie on I guess," I replied as I took the cover from her grip. I stretched back and requested that she came a little closer. Erien moved a little, but I completely pulled her onto me so that she was laying on my chest.
I chuckled, "Erien.."
"What I do?"
I shook her head while I spread the blanket across us.
"You know you're a very beautiful girl. Well you should cause I've been telling you that since I met you. But can I ask why you have this guard up? It's like your cautious about everything. I never noticed it until we actually had full conversation. You can be very secretive."
Erien moved a little.
"Uh. I guess that's how I am.. I'm very hesitant towards a lot. I can't say I'm scared to get hurt when I'm actually scared to hurt others. It has happened in the past and right now I'm trying to not be sucked back into that life. I speak little about things because I'm not one to do that. Once you get to know the full Erien Lee, you'll get it."
That wasn't anything I was expecting. It left me confused
I was about to say something but her breathing changed. I looked down and noticed how much more beautiful she became when she was asleep.
I guess I'm not going home. The time was past 3 A.M., it was pouring even harder outside, and babygirl seemed really comfortable. I stood up with Erien's legs wrapped around my waist and arms over my shoulder while I searched for her bedroom.
"Stop moving," she mumbled before waking up.
"I'm sorry to wake you. Sleeping on the sofa wasn't going to work."
"It's fine," Erien hopped off of me and stretched. "You can stay if you want. Don't try anything funny."
I nodded and climbed on the other side of her bed.
That morning
I woke up to an empty bed, little drops of rain outside the window, and the aroma of a bomb ass breakfast.
"Good morning," Erien stepped her small figure in to her room. I know something had to be up with Erien. She was actually small in all places, and I'm all for the big booty bitches. When I look at Erien, I really didn't think much of her size because she was beautiful inside and out. "When you're done thinking about me, there's an extra toothbrush and washcloth waiting on my bathroom sink, and the food is ready to be served," Erien gained a laugh and an exit.
Erien
"I don't trust him," Leah mumbled as she stuffed her face. She's starting to aggravate me. We have a guest and she's talking trash about him while he's right in her face."You don't know him!" I shot back.
"No, YOU don't know him. You met the guy two Fridays ago and now he's staying in your bed."
"I don't say anything when you bring different dudes in here every week, so how can you have the audacity to talk about my doings and who I hang around? How?"
Leah replied with a shake by her head and cleaned her dishes while Tyler sat there in complete silence.
"I apologize for her, once again!"
Tyler shook his head and shrugs his shoulders, "I'm not worrying about it. I've heard worse," he said as he looked at his watch. "I should be going though. Boss would be pissed if I didn't show."
I nodded and led him outside.
It's still raining?
"Well.." I shrugged and leaned on the outside of the front door.
Tyler pulled his hood over head and somehow his eyes became even more hypnotic. He was a walking god.
"I'll be seeing you real soon," he said with an emphasis on real. I hugged him and let him go.
As I stepped foot inside my home, the rain stopped, and the sun came out. Now that's strange.
"LEAH GET IN HERE NOW!" I yelled down the hall. Leah and I have been friends since elementary school. Our parents were joined together when Leah and I met in kindergarten. We were dating the same guy at the same time, and we instantly became friends. Now let that happen now and it's World War X in here!
"Oh look! The sun is out and Tyler is gone. Even the weather agrees that he's bad news!" Leah chuckled as she helped clean up the kitchen, "and where did lover boy go?"
"Work."
"What job does he have? Taking pictures for instagram and modeling for different companies?"
"At least he's making money. How about you?" I shot her a dirty look and began washing the pots.
"Kahri said I can start at his salon Thursday!" Kahri is my fabulous gay bestfriend who actually hates Leah. I see he has a good heart..or maybe he just wants to boss her around.
I waved my hands in there, "Oooh! Now you can save and get that raggedy ass car fixed!"
"Just cause I'm not driving a Camaro like you or a fuckin' Lambo like The Boy, you cannot shoot down my lil Altima! Sh-," she cut herself off and went on her phone. "How does The Boy have a Lambo working as an Instagram model?"
Now that's a good question.. Tyler never said he came from money. In fact he said he grew up in a lower class home in Compton. Socially famous people actually don't make much from the gigs they do..or do they?
"Maybe he's borrowing it until he gets his own. Maybe he does Youtube too," I suggested. "Whatever he does isn't my business."
