“Talk about self-esteem” Abby said twirling her glossy blonde curls she held up her French-manicured nails reaching for a Dixie cup. She looked really beautiful wearing a black miniskirt and a red tank top. Unlike Jodie wearing her usual; cropped top to show off her belly button ring and jeans. Oh! Jodie thought. Did I mention I’m a brunette? She looked at Abby and waited.
“Don’t you think they just chose the wrong people for this so-called Ceremony?” Jodie said studying her colored cotton candy pink nails
. Abby dropped her cup and gaped, “Shush! People can hear, and this is ourchance. So quit gambling and follow me!”
Jodie wondered where they were going until they reached Gregory’s house. “No!” Jodie stopped. “We still didn’t talk yet…” Abby sighed placing her hand on Jodie’s shoulder. “Jodie, listen to me. It’s your moment for life. Take what life offers to you.” Jodie gave her a puzzled look. “That doesn’t make sense.”
