The Camp needs our help

Poseidon POV

I have just learned a very important lesson. You should NEVER give Leo skittles or coffee or skittles. Wait... I was watching all of them when Chiron called.

'Where are the demigods?'

'Um... at school?' I said confused.

'We need their help. Tartarus is rising and we need them.' The line call ended.

'O Iris, Goddess of Rainbows please accept our offering, show me Thalia Grace please.' Who knew Zeus had a soft side? Unfortunately that's only been seen for Thalia and Jason.

The Iris message shimmered and it showed Annabeth pulling Percy's ear... Ouch. Her pulling on Nico's arm and the rest laughing.

Athena POV

I read Poseidon's thoughts. I can't say I blame him though, I mean I think I may have softened up to Percy.

'Annabeth! Pleeeease stop! You're gonna pull it off!' Percy pleaded tears forming in his eyes.

'Well I'm sorry but you deserve it. You should have not got involved!' Annabeth said nonchalantly. She let go of Jackson's ear which was now throbbing and red and finally let go of Di Angelo's arm.

'What was I supposed to do?' Eh WiseGirl? Let Dylan Joyce bully him? I couldn't just stand there and watch him do it could I?' Percy whispered loudly. Nico began crying softly. A flashback. Everyone saw what Dylan had said to Nico who was shellshocked and then they saw Percy taking action. Even Clarrise had tears in her eyes and Katie began crying as Travis held her close.

'Percy?' Thalia asked. Percy looked at her with tears rolling down his cheek. Hades growled and muttered something under his breath about beating 'this Dylan' and saying something about self-loyalty.

'Percy? What ever happened wasn't your fault. You were just protecting Nico from Dylan weren't you?' Percy nodded.

'You were wrong to get involved but you right to step in when needed OK?' Percy just shrugged and wiped away the tears. Nico's eyes were red from crying and Jason and Hazel hugged him.

'Please insert another drachma to continue.' Iris announced. I swear she's getting on my nerves. The demigods all jumped. Percy looked embarrassed and looked away and Jason and Hazel stopped hugging Nico and Hermes lazily threw another drachma into the mist.

'Um...' they all replied awkwardly. Man it's creepy when those Stolls do it but when they all do it? No. Just no.

'You need to go back to Camp.' Apollo and Hermes said rather loudly. Arty... I mean Artemis shot them a glare. Either they saw it or they just don't care.

'Oh for the love of Kronos.' Everyone looked at father weirdly. 'Basically what's happening is Tartarus is rising.' Percy started breathing really heavily and Frank looked as if he was going to pass out.

'Apollo bring them here please.' Zeus demanded. The line went dead and 13 demigods came streaking down. Percy looked like he was going to explode.

'What. The. HADES?!?!' Percy screamed. Father shifted uncomfortably. Clarrise put a hand on Percy's shoulder and I looked towards Ares.

Ares POV

The little punk has the nerve y'know. Oh really Ares? Mars. Always Mars. It wouldn't hurt once in a while to feel sorry for Jackson. He's been through so much. Oh shut it Mars. I looked towards Athena and caught her staring at me. What on Gaea? She looked away embarrassed. C'mon what's the harm Ares? You wouldn't hurt Clarrise now would you? My I say! She's protective of Jackson ain't she? So much for shutting him up. And then Mars took over.

'So Father, was bringing that up a good idea?'

'Dad?' Frank asked bewildered.

'Mars what are you doing here?' Typical answer. He should of been made God Of Drama. Apollo and Mercury snickered.

'I don't know what you mean if you can't tell what's up!' Mars sing-songed innocently. 'Ares was gonna kill Jackson, I couldn't let that happen now could I?' Mars said sweetly. Percy stared at the floor and mumbled something.

'What?' Dad just had to ask. Percy mumbled again and Clsrrise's grip tightened.

'I said I'm not going to help.' Everyone and even Athena looked shocked at his response.

'Why should I? It broke me. It BROKE MY MIND! If Tartarus is rising, he'll break me. I WAS THIS CLOSE TO BREAKING. Don't you Gods understand that? It showed me my mistakes. My... My... My entire life and everyone's deaths. I could of saved them. I should of saved them. I KNOW I COULD HAVE SAVED THEM!!! So sorry OLYMPIANS my answer is NO!' Percy snapped fiercely tears staining his cheeks and his eyes red and puffy. He pushed Clarrise aside and stormed out. So much for help. Annabeth started to go after him but Hazel stopped her. I felt Mars weakening as I took control. Haha! Not so cool now are we?

'Annabeth, Percy will help. I can feel it. He just needs time and space to think.' Wow. No wonder Frank likes her so much.
