I didn't see her full summer vacation. And spend every minute of it waiting for the next semester to start.
She changed. A lot. She had become thinner and she still seemed to eat lesser and lesser day by day. She wore black and only black.
And I missed her laughter. It used to sound like the chiming of bells or waterfall to me. And now it was just silence. She talked but in whispers.
The girl I fell in love with was gone. I still loved her, maybe. I didn't seem to know her anymore. Her friends changed, her behaviour changed, she changed.
Yes there were times when she used to be like this before. But then she seemed to change completely when I saw her later on and I just thought she must be going through something. But now it seemed that she was permanently like that.
We didn't share any classes and no one responded when I asked about Keira.
After two months I finally picked up the courage to go and talk to her.
"Keira, Hi how are you? "
Tears started running down her eyes. Her friend pulled her away while two of them stared at me in shock.
" She is Katyln, not Keira. Keira doesn't come to this college anymore . just don't talk about her here. "
She had passed away. Car crash. And no one had even realized except for her friends.
Apparently replacing a twin with her sister was pretty easy around here.
