Chapter 4

~Ryan's Pov~

I slightly brush her face and I suddenly feel my back being slammed into a tree. Something has a tight grip around my neck and I'm loosing air. Struggling I look down to see what has me by the neck.

I go still, staring into the hazy bright blue eyes , that look like they where glowing, of the girl who had been knocked out just a few seconds ago.

What the heck?!

Her grip on my neck tightened more, her eyes seemed to glow even brighter. I start to feel like I was going to pass out when all of a sudden all of the pressure on my neck is gone. I gasp for air landing back on my feet. I Look at the girl and she swayed then started to fall to the ground.

I reach my arms out and catch her just before she hit the ground. Looking at her my heart starts to race, but not from realizing this girl almost killed me, I was something else but I couldn't figure out what.

Realizing this girl could be seriously hurt from that blow to the head I start to hurry back to my house. My mom is the pack doctor so if anyone could help this girl it would be my her.

Rushing through the woods I finally make it back to my house. I get to the door and start to kick it with my foot and yell.

"Guys open the door!"

"You have hands for a reason!", someone yells back I assume to be my mom.

"Open the door!", I yell again.

"Alright, alright why couldn't yo..", she opens the door stopping mid sentence staring at the girl in my arms.

"Who is this? What happened? Don't just stand there get in here."

"Where do you want me to set her down Mom?"

"Go lay her on the couch while I go get my bag.", she says walking out of the room.

I walk to the living room seeing my Older brother Jake , my younger brothers Nate and Adin , and my little sister Pagie, all sitting on the couch watching a movie.

"Get up."

They all turn and look at me like I had said something in another language, then the see the girl limp in my arms and scramble to there feet letting me get to the couch.

After gently laying her on the couch I turn to my brothers and sister.

"Before you ask me a million questions, let me just say I don't know, and she fell and hit her head."

As I finish talking my Mom walks in with her bag of medicines and such.

"Move out of the way.", she said walking towards the girl.

Walking around to the backside of the couch I watch my Mom work.

"Ryan I need you to tell me what happened.", she said glancing up at me then back to the girl.

"She was running and then she tripped and hit her head on the ground.",I say rubbing my hand on the back of my neck feeling guilty.

It's my fault she got hurt in the first place. I'm such an idiot!

After a long silence my Mom finally spoke. "Well she's gonna be okay she doesn't have a concussion or anything and she should wake up in a little bit."

Then we here the sound of the door being opened and closed. The person walks into the living room. "You guys sure are quite what's going on...", he stops mid sentence and stares at the girl on the couch.

~Alex's Pov~

slowly opening my eyes I'm blinded by the light. I sit up suddenly feeling dizzy. Dang, my head hurts!

" Take it easy you had a hard hit to the head."

I snapped my head in the direction of the voice sending another wave of dizziness over me.

When I could finally focus and the dizziness subsided I spoke.

"Who are you? Where am I? What the heck is going on!?"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Calm down, you are perfectly fine." , said the lady who looked to be in her early 40s.

CALM down how am I supposed to do that when I don't have a clue where I am or who you freakin are!?

Looking around me there were other people in the room. A little girl, two boys, twins, probably 14 or 15 , a guy who looked around 19, and another guy close to the same age as the lady in front of me most likely her husband and the other people were their kids seeing as the all closely resembled each other.

"I'm sorry where are my manners this is my family."

I knew it!

"There is my daughter Paige, the twins Nate and Adin, my oldest son Jake , my husband Jason, and Ryan the one who brought you here.", she said gesturing behind me.

As I turned to look at the person a sudden sense of de ja vu hit me like I had meet this guy before.

"I'm really confused were am I? The last thing I remember is hitting my head.", I said rubbing my head as I did so.

"Well I....I cha...chased you & you tripped & hit your head.", he said looking at the ceiling.

"You chased me?", I asked glaring at him.

He nodded still not looking at me.

Good he should feel guilty he chased me like he was some rabid animal for goodness sake!

Wait I was knocked out that means I was vulnerable and that means....

"What happened after I was knocked out?"

His face went pale. "What? What happened?!", I asked panicky knowing the way he had paled it wasn't good.

"You..uh..well...I-I bent down to see if you were okay after you had fell and I had just barley touched you and you slammed me into a tree." , he said rubbing the back of his neck.

Oh no!

"Dear are you okay?", asked the lady still next to me what was her name?

" I-I....", I trailed off not knowimg what to say. I was afraid this would happen.

"It's okay.", said Ryan.

"What?"

"You didn't mean to it's okay"

I turned and looked at him.

Is he stupid or something? It's not Ok I could've...Could've I don't know what but it is most defiantly NOT OK!

" No. I could've.....could've k-killed you. That's not ok.", I said looking at him.

He looked like he was going to say something but his father spoke.

"You remind me of an old friend of mine."

Sorry it took so long guys my papa was in the hospital for a long time bur hes home now!

Im hoping it won't take me as long to up date again.
