Chapter Ten-- Weird

~Seth's POV~

It had already been a couple of weeks and the Shield was dominating the WWE just like before. I was excited about finally obtaining the match against the League of Nations...But I also had something else on my mind. I knew I needed to make my move on Casey soon. Dolph had been flirting with her every chance he got and I wasn't about to let her slip through my fingers. "DEAN! Come on man! I wanna go see Casey!" I know you're probably wondering why the heck I'm talking to Dean about wanting to see his little sister... Well, to sum things up to a ridiculous amount, Dean's been weird. He's hardly been talking to any of us-including Casey-and he's been letting out so much anger in our matches that it's starting to kinda scare the crap out of me. We already won our match with the Wyatts, starting a whole string of tag team battles that we won. I should probably ask him about what's up...but I feel I kinda gave up our personal relationship when I betrayed both he and Roman.

Dean quietly exited the bathroom, allowing me to step in for my shower. After I got out, I quickly got ready. "Get out man, I gotta use the bathroom!" Roman yelled from the other side of the door. I smirked as I thought of a sassy comeback. "We're the hounds of justice, go find a fire hydrant or something!"

Dean's laugh drowned out Roman's sarcastic one. "Very funny, Seth. But seriously, get out."

I sighed and pulled the door open, walking past Roman and calling over my shoulder. "You're no fun, Reigns."

"And you're an idiot." Roman mumbled, sending me an annoyed glare before shutting the bathroom door.

"You're gonna go see Casey?" Dean's question caused me to freeze.

"Yeah...?" I turned around to face him. "Why?"

"You're gonna ask her out, aren't you." Dean's voice sounded void of any emotion, his blue eyes zoned out.

"Um..I think so, yeah." I muttered, shifting uncomfortably.

"Well that's just great!" Dean practically screamed, standing up from the couch and getting in my face. "I can't take it anymore, Rollins. If you ask her out I will make this team dissolve faster than you can imagine."

I was taken aback by Dean's sudden aggressive behavior. "Woah, man, you haven't even mentioned Casey for the past week..." I trailed off, looking into dean's eyes. What I saw there (past the extremely violent beast that wanted to claw my eyes out) took me by surprise..Dean was desperate. "Okay, how about this...I won't ask her out today if you tell me what's going on with you, deal?"

Dean gave me a suspicious look.

"I'm not gonna go against my word this time, Dean. I swear it." I lifted up my hands in defense and gestured to the couch. "Sit."

He exhaled sharply but obeyed my order, taking a seat on the couch. I sat down in a nearby chair and looked at him. "Now, explain."

Dean let out another sigh before speaking, "I don't know why I feel so protective over Casey, Seth, but I do. I need to keep her safe. She's my only sane family. I need her..and sometimes I like to believe that maybe she needs me.." He trailed off, placing his head in his hands. "But I spoiled our relationship when I started digging into her personal relationships."

"How about this," I began, an idea clicking in my head. "I'll go hang with her today and pop in a few things about you. That'll get her to talk, leading to solving this whole dispute between you two." I finished, smiling.

Dean looked up at me, eyes not showing as much misery as before. "Thanks man." He got up to leave, but I quickly stopped him.

"Dean?"

He turned to me, an eyebrow quirked. "Yeah?"

"Does this mean you trust me again?" I asked, feeling unsure. I never thought I would be able to gain Dean or Roman's trust again... But after what just went down, I'm beginning to lose my doubt.

Dean hesitated, sending me a glare. "Nope." Then he walked off, leaving me alone in the living room. I sighed and finished getting ready to see Casey, then headed down to her room.

When I got there, I knocked on it twice. Instead of Casey, Brie Bella opened it. "What are you doing here?" She asked, tone confused and sleepy.

"Um...is this Casey Ambrose's room?" I asked, feeling awkward.

"Oh, yeah, she's sharing with us." Brie nodded.

"Great, so can you--"

Brie cut me off, "She's not here right now."

"Oh, is she at the gym?" I questioned, confused. Casey usually doesn't go anywhere til around noon.

"No, she's on a date with Dolph. Wait...she's mentioned you a lot before, Seth... You like her. Oh crap, sorry you had to find all this out from me. Anyway, I'm gonna shut the door now, cause Nikki and I still have to get ready. See ya." With that, Brie slammed the door shut. My heart broke into a million pieces and I internally began having a break down.

You missed your chance, Seth! How could you let such a perfect girl get away?! Then again...she must not like me if she's out with Dolph...

I began grumbling curse words as I stormed back to my hotel room. When I slammed the door as loudly as possible, both Dean and Roman ran in.

"What's wrong with you, man?" Roman asked, looking confused.

"Shut up." I glared at not of them before heading into my room and locking the door. Yes, these hotel rooms were huge. I collapsed on the bed an stared at the wall, playing what Brie had told me over and over again...

"She's on a date with Dolph."

You lost your chance, Seth.

No more Casey.

Wait, what are you saying?? I stood up and walked up to the mirror, getting my game face on and giving myself a pep talk. "Seth, you are not giving up on the only girl who can actually make you flip out. You're not gonna let Dolph destroy her like he's done to every other freakin girl he's dated. She deserves better, and you are better." I nodded to myself then stormed back out of the hotel room, dialing Casey's number as I went.

She picked up on the second ring. "Seth? This isn't a good--"

I cut her off. "I know, but I need to tell you something really important, Casey. Please, please don't start dating Dolph."

"Why?" She asked, sounding confused.

"Because I--"

I was interrupted by Dolph's voice as he stole Casey's phone. "Listen, Rollins, she's out with me. I'm sure what you have to say can wait a couple of hours. Bye." My blood boiled as he hung up.

This was not going to be the end. I was going to get Casey.
