A Miraculous Love

Chapter 9

"Must. Destroy. Chat Noir!" Screetched Ladybug as she swooped through the air with her yoyo. She landed on a roof and began dialing his number. Once he picked up, she tried talking to him as normally as possible.

"Ladybug? Thank goodness you're okay," he said.

"Ahh, yes, my sweet. I'm actually in a bit of trouble and I need-" she hesitated, "some help."

"I'm on my way!" said Chat Noir as he hung up.

"Hmm hmm hmm," laughed Ladybug. I've got him right where I want him...

Moments later, Chat Noir arrived at Marinette's balcony. He examined the place before deciding to go inside. With the whole city under a purple spell, he figured that it wouldn't really matter if he broke into her house. I mean, technically, it's not breaking the law if he's saving the city, right? 

He stealthily slid through the cracked door and began scouring her room. It was darker than usual, the pink walls were casting dark menacing shadows. The atmosphere was ominous. He knew that something was off, but he didn't know what.

As he delved deeper, he decided to go downstairs into her livingroom. Everything was where it should be, so he decided to go into the bakery. When he went in there, however, he noticed something... odd. There was a tall girl whose back was to him. She had her long purple hair strung in a braid. Her dress was a slightly dark shade of purple with hints of light green and gold sown into the fabric. Her cellphone, which was hanging in her hand limply at her side, was purple with pink spike charms. She then slowly lifted the phone up to her face, as if to talk into it.

"AAAADDDRRIIEEEENNNN?" she screeched into it. "AAAADDDRRIIEEEENNNN?"

Chat Noir gulped. Jealousy. Did he dare to take a step closer?

Slowly, she turned around and showed her face. Her eyes were a deep black and he makeup was dripping from her face. She mocked a frown, and began to walk towards him. Frozen in fear, Chat didn't know what to do. He knew he had to beat her in some way, but for some reason, he felt compelled not to. Maybe it was her deep eyes that where now glowing purple. Maybe it was the I want you expression on her face. Or maybe it was the dress that hugged her body so sexily. OR maybe- snap out of it!

Chat Noir jumped back and hit his head on the counter. What the fuck was that?

"There you are, my sweet kitty," She began to move closer to him. With each step she took, the room started to turn purple, engulfing everything in her spell. 

"Don't take another step closer!" Chat exclaimed. He raised his baton and pointed it at her, ready to strike.

"Ahh, threatening me now, are you? Is it because I trapped you in my cloud of pity?"

"I told you, nothing like that could hold me for long." he smirked. Jealousy frowned at his cocky demeanor.

"Or... is it because I stole your precious Ladybug away from you?" Jealousy watched the smile fade away from his face as Ladybug came into view. His look of pure horror made her laugh. "What? Cat got your tongue?" She mocked. 

"Ladybug!" He gasped. He started to run over to her. "I was so worried. What are you-"

Her yoyo whizzed past his head, going so fast that it broke the pasty display case behind him.

"She's under my purple spell~" sang Jealousy. "And once she takes your Miraculous from you, I'll finally get my Adrien!"

"I'll never belong to you, Jealousy!" He exclaimed. "Or should I call you... Khloe?"

Jealousy's body began to glitch with anger. "That's not my name!" She began to raise her cellphone, "and you're not Adrien! Ladybug, attack!"

Ladybug began to charge at Chat, zipping her yoyo at him. Each time it barely missed him and broke another thing behind him.

"Ladybug, what are you doing? This isn't you!" He exclaimed through breaths of air. 

He swung his baton at her, throwing her through the wall to the outside street. The purple air choked his lungs as he struggled to speak. 

"I don't want to hurt you!" he gasped. "Ladybug, Marinette, I don't know what Khloe told you," the entranced Ladybug stood and began to walk over to Chat, yoyo in hand and about to strike. 

"I don't know what she said, and I don't know how to convince you that what she said was wrong," He panted while he dodged another attack. The purple air was weakening him. He fell to his knees, unable to move anymore. Ladybug towered over him, her yoyo raised above his head.

"Ladybug!" yelled Jealousy, not far behind from them. A zombie army followed her. "Kill him!"

"Wait!" yelled Chat as she was about to hit strike him. "Ladybug," he panted "I... don't know... how to tell you this... but...." he detransformed in front of her, his body almost going limp.

"Adrien! What are you doing dude?? You have to-" Yelled Plagg. Before he could finish his sentence, he was suddenly sucked back into the ring as Adrien placed it in Ladybug's hand. "I.... love you..." He stopped breathing. 

The world was silent.

And all hell broke loose.
