A Miraculous Love

Chapter 3

"Marinette, dear! This is the second time this week I have to wake you up! Hurry up, dear," Marinette's mom yelled from downstairs. Marinette slowly opened her eyes and checked her alarm clock. 

"Ugghh..." she moaned and dragged herself out of bed. "Mooom, can I not go to school today? I'm so sleepy..." said Marinette, but she was too quiet for her mom to here. 

"Goooood morning, Marinette!"exclaimed Tikki as she fluttered out of Marinette's pillow case. "Aha! C'mon, it's time to start the day! And," she smirked, "you also get to see Adrien!" 

"Yah!" gasped Marinette. "You're right! We're D-d-dat-"

"Dating?" said Tikki.

"Yes! Gotta go, gotta go!"Marinette shot out of bed and began to hurriedly get ready. 

"Hmm, does this feel familiar..."said Tikki as she crossed her arms. 

"Yeah, yeah. C'mon Tikki! Time to go!" Marinette rushed down the stairs, quickly grabbed a pastry to eat for breakfast, and ran to school. 

Time Skip

Making it to her classroom before the bell rang, Marinette mentally patted herself on the back and went to her seat, completely forgetting about the situation with Adrien and ignoring Khloe's smirks at her across the room. 

"Hey, girl! Nice timing! Good thing you came on time. The teacher's really grumpy today," whispered Alya as Marinette took her seat. "Also, Adrien wouldn't stop asking about you! So much questions," tisked Alya as she opened her textbook. 

Class began, but Marinette found herself unable to focus on what the teacher was saying. She was more concerned with what Khloe was saying, surprisingly. 

"Look at this picture I got of the two of them!" Khloe whispered to Sabrina. "I'm going to exploit them, both! Marinette and Chat Noir!" she laughed evilly. 

"Khloe," said the teacher, "what is so funny? Mind telling the class?" 

"Um, no, Mrs." Said Khloe, obviously looking embarrassed.       

The class went silent for awhile, focusing on Khloe, but the teacher quickly dismissed her and went back to the lesson.

I wonder what they were talking about... thought Marinette, frowning. And why were they giggling while looking at me? Do I look funny? Did I do something embarrassing? Marinette's eyes widened. Maybe... they found out me and Adrien's secret? That we're dating. Or maybe... Marinette gasped aloud, they found out I'm Ladybug!

The teacher took notice of Marinettes odd behavior and cleared her throat rather loudly. Luckily, no one took notice, and Marinette understood her warning and began to do her work.

"What's wrong, girl? You've been so distracted lately." Alya asked quietly.

"It's just Khloe. She's acting like normal, but I feel as though she's up to something."

Alya laughed quietly. "Isn't she always? Anyways, you should pay attention. Like I said, the teacher's real grumpy today, so it's best not to upset her!" 

Heading her warning, Marinette focused her mind on her studies, trying her best to ignore Khloe and her snide remarks. Before she knew it, the school day was over.

Ring! Ring!  The bell rang, and the teacher said, "Don't forget, class! Your homework is to read pages 45-50. And also," she turned to Marinette and Khloe, "Pay more attention in class! Got it?"

The two girls gulped and said, "Yup!" and they made it on their way out of class.           

"So, what're you up to today, Marinette?" Adrien was waiting for her outside the classroom.

"Gyah! A-adrien! What're you doing here?" asked Marinette, suprized.

Tsking, Khloe said, "Don't bother with her, honey-boo!" Khloe clinged onto him arm, "she's so creepy! She has a secret she's keeping from you!" Khloe glared at Marinette. "I know it! She also really likes you, how pathetic! But we all know the one you love is me."  

Laughing Adrien said, "Well, that's great, Khloe," he wiggled out of Khloes grasp and went over to Marinette,"but I know her secret, and she better like me, or else we'd have a problem. Because we," he grabbed her waist, "are dating."

Gasping, Khloe took a step back, winded. "Oh, you little!- how dare!- Y-you're gonna get payback, Marinette! You stole my man!" Khloe bore her teeth, and stomped away, fuming."Good thing I still have this photo," said Khloe, "and I'll use it to prove to Adrien that she's cheating! Or wait..." Khloe laughed evilly and squinted her eyes. "I have an idea that just might work..."

"Well, that worked, didn't it?" said Adrien, looking down at Marinette. "And we still have time to save the world."

Pulling Marinette aside so they could both transform, they ran outside the school and flew high into the sky, awaiting the evil villain they had to save from the evil Hawkmoth this time. 

"Oh, kitty-kitty, did I ever tell you hoe much I loved you?" said Ladybug as she pecked Chat on the cheek. 

"This much," said Chat, and he kissed Ladybug on the lips deeply. 

Both living their seemingly happily ever after, they rode off into the daylight, holding hands and getting ready for the day's battle.

And so they went, not thinking about Khloe and what her warning meant. 

They were in for big trouble. Big, big trouble. 

"Hey, Sabrina?" said Khloe, talking into her cellphone. She watched Ladybug and Chat Noir ride into the sky. 

"Yeah, Khloe?" asked Sabrina over the phone. 

"I have an idea. I think I might know who Chat Noir is," she flashed a sinister grin, "and I think he could help us reveal Marinette's secret to everyone."

Heya, guys! MiracleMoon22 here, Lady_Bug3's editor! I'm so happy I finally got a chance to re-write this chapter! I hope this story's getting suspenseful! 

Anyways, I'm thinking of great things for the future of this story, and I hope you're all just as excited as I am! I predict that this new year will bring us great fortune!
