It was happening again, they were talking about me. It had been a few hours since the last conversation with the voices.

"Sophia...are you there? Sophia...we miss you..." They cooed trying to sound warm and inviting but it only came out as cold and unwelcoming.

I didn't miss them that's for sure. I was here, but I wasn't here for them. I was here in this bedroom for myself, my own protection. I was boarded up in my room, the blinds in the room were shut and tied closed. The stupid door was locked and shut tight.

"Sophia...Sophia...come with us...we're going out...Sophia..." They pestered me yet again with their annoying voices over lapping each other, talking over each other, driving one person insane! I couldn't stand it that's for sure, but I wasn't going to go collect my necklace and hang there with the other bodies.

Including Trent.

I was beyond terrified at this point of living with these voices telling me things, trying to get me to do this I just didn't want to do. I don't want to die and I really don't want to fall into their clutches. I'd rather take my own rope and hang myself in my room then hang up in the tree.

"Sophia...please...come with us...Sophia...there's no reason to do this...Sophia..." They were talking and talking and talking and they just wouldn't shut up. They scared the living shit out of me and I just...I just... couldn't get away. I had nightmares during the times I could manage to sleep without nearly dying. I wasn't even able to sleep most of the time. They kept me here, slowly fading, and slowly dying away. They kept me locked up in this God-forsaken room. They wanted me. They wanted to kill me. They wanted me to suffer, but it wasn't going to happen, I wouldn't let it.

"Sophia...Trent's outside...waiting for you... he's climbing the tree...Sophia...he's almost at the top!"

I wanted to scream at them to go away, but I couldn't do that. It would only show them how weak and pitiful I am. It would show them that I could give into anything.

Anything at all.

Once again, I wanted to scream and kicked and cry and I wanted to shout at them. I just wanted them to go away, I would beg even, I would plead and cry, do whatever except claim my necklace.

"Oops...Sophia...he slipped... Sophia... he slipped... Sophia... he's dead now... Oh... Sophia..." They were laughing and mocking at her at this point. they were talking in menacing voices, low tones overlapped the higher ones and they all joined together in a perfect harmony.

It was as if they had practiced and perfected every last bit and piece of their words, down to the emotion in the tones. They seemed relaxed and they seemed almost happy, but I for one wasn't. I was downright shaking in my jeans. They're harmonized voices rang through me ear, repeating over and over again, I screamed, my hands flew to my ears pressing hard, trying to drain out every single word.

They kept on coming, they became worse and worse as they filled my thoughts and soon became the only thing I could think of. 'Sophia we love you, Sophia come out side, Sophia we miss you, Sophia come get your necklace, Sophia Trent wants you...Sophia.' They kept on talking and wouldn't stop.

I thought the screaming would help but in reality it didn't. It only made it worse.

I screamed again, it was piercing and loud enough it seemed to break glass. I heard footsteps outside my door.

"Sophia... we're coming... Sophia... open up... Sophia." The voice began to talk again, this time they began to bang on the boarded up door. I crept off my bed and pushed a chair under the door handle, just for extra protection.

"Sophia... why did you do that... Sophia we want you... Sophia.... Sophia..." They were right outside my door, they wanted to kill me and they wanted to make sure I wouldn't and couldn't escape from them. I became panicked as I turned my head from side to side. I heard scratching on the windows and felt a light breeze filter through the crack under the door, I then saw the blood begin to ooze from under the door once again

I let out another terrifying scream as the blood leaked towards me feet, I felt the liquid flow under my feet, I turned and ran to the safety of the bed, jumping on to avoid the prying hands of voices from under the bed. I bundled underneath the covers and peaked out of the top glancing over at the covers. I saw nothing. The scratching at the window stopped and the blood off my feet disappeared and the blood under the door was gone.

But the knocking continued.

"Sophia...we're here...Sophia we can see you...Sophia..." The voices began to talk to her again, the voices echoed around the room. The scratching began again, she wanted to yell at them to go away and never return but she seemed to lose the ability to do anything but scream now. I turned my head away from the windows and doors.

I wrapped myself up in a blanket proteting myself. I hurried to my desk and picked up a piece of paper and a pen and began to write:

The voices, they're coming for me! Help! My name is Sophia Reynolds. Help me.

I finished writing the note and opened my window quickly, after folding the paper into an airplane, I shot it out the window I closed the window, locked it and watched the airplane land in the tree again with the other thirty I had wrote.

I called the tree the tree of shattered hopes and dreams. It was the tree that kept anyone from helping me and saving me from the voices that haunted me and wanted to kill me. They wanted to hang me from their tree in the woods and they wanted to make sure I was joining their victims.

"Sophia...come get your necklace...Sophia...come on..." The voices echoed as they began to talk to me again in harmony.

I tried to yell at them to go away but my attempts were pointless.

I couldn't speak.

Only scream at them, wordlessly.

I collapsed onto my bed and broke down into tears. I wanted them to leave me alone and let me try to live my life normally as best as possible. It wouldn't happen even if I managed to make the voices go away. It would be impossible and it was extremely disappointing.

I wanted to try to live normally but I just couldn't.

"Sophia...where are you...Sophia...we need our princess."

Princess my ass, the only thing that they wanted to was to slaughter me. They wanted to hang me with my necklace on their tree with the countless others. They wanted me to join my dead little brother up high into the air. They wanted me to climb up high into the tree, and fall into the necklace. They wanted to wrap the rope around my neck, pull tight and let me hang there until I was dead.

They wanted to suffocate me.

I unwrapped myself from the blankets I was in and began to roll up into my bed. I wanted to sleep, but it would be impossible.

The voices began to talk again, "Sophia...Sophia... Aren't you glad you didn't turn the light on..."
