Chapter 23 Doing the right thing is always hard

"Kristine," I heard someone call my name.

I look to see Bailey trying to get my attention.

"Are you okay you seem out of it," Bailey mentions.

"I need to tell you something, but you can't say anything," I told her.

"Okay tell me," Bailey replies.

"Mackenzie kissed me," I told her.

"Are you serious," Bailey asked?

With that we talked about all of it. And what I should do. Before the parade the town is throwing for me.

Which my family, school, band and guard are performing in.

"Everyone, give it up for our very own Kristine," the mayor said.

I started singing one of the songs I sang for idol. Till we got to the stage.

And I started singing. All the songs I know. And just being with my family.

But I couldn't get what happened with Mackenzie out of my head. I don't know I feel like there's a chance that I might like Mackenzie. But no one can beat Dalton.

I love Dalton and I know that.

But I don't know how I can tell Dalton about Mackenzie without him hurting or punching him in the face.

Next Day after the parade welcome home party and performance. It was the day of competition.

I got ready and as I was getting ready for the comp. There was a knock on my door.

"Who missed their favorite boyfriend," Dalton said popping his head in.

"Totally, especially those blue eyes and smeared eyeliner along his eyes," I replied.

I soon walked up to him and wrapped my arms around him till our lips met.

"I missed you so much," Dalton told me.

"Well you ready to see me nerd out," I told Dalton.

"Oh completely," Dalton added.

I smiled. "Well let's go were giving some people a lift."

"So Bailey, Seleny and Stephen," Dalton Asked?

I nodded.

With that we left and made our way to the school. But not without stopping for Lollicup.

This is my favorite place of Lollicup for it always reminded me of the Philippines and my mom.

I told Dalton I would take him. So he can try it.

"Stay here, ill order yours," I told him.

Dalton nodded.

I went in got the order and came out with 4 drinks and a lot of food had to get help from one of the workers.

I started driving.

"Wow this is good," Dalton said taking another sip.

We soon got to the school to get tackled by everyone. But Bailey seeing me already took the drinks from me.

"Okay let's get going everyone," Toff said.

With that we all got into our cars and headed to San Ramon. It was a long car ride.

But fun. Dalton got along with everyone. Which made me happy. But Stephen did flirt with Dalton.

We got to San Ramon. And all you can see were flags flying everywhere. Drums drumming.
