Chapter 1 Greeting

In the world I live in or the path I chose is really hard to get by, loot dead bodies, hide in the shadows, and kill maniacs, but don't worry these so called maniacs are "Templars"

Yes you heard me Templars, they are a bunch of ruthless,selfish,idiosyncratic people which I grow to hate. They kill to change the future and used civilians in their own free-will and turn them into slaves, which is why I despised them and my Brotherhood.

My Brotherhood or should I say the "Assassin Brotherhood" are against with the Templars and also our Enemy. Why you might ask? Well because we are the people or
might I say Assassins that shall cleanse this world with evil and to protect the Future just the way it is and we believe that changing it will might lead to a road of war and
destruction.

That is why we Assassins can never get along with the bloody Templars, and even our daily lives we spent on killing each other.

It might even get harder and hectic for me on killing because I was just ranked into "Master Assassin" a few weeks ago, and believe me so many lunatics that I've killed that I actually lost count. Yeah I know tiring. As long as the blood of my enemies don't stain my Assassin outfit and get into my ravishing auburn hair, I'm good.

Oh! I forgot. Where are my mannners, I've been talking here to you guys about killing and Templars and never properly introduced myself, well people I am Hi-

I was cut off when I suddenly felt hands gripped onto my shoulders and startled me."Crap! What the hell Jack I might fall, if you want to scare me please when I'm not sitting on a ledge at a tall building."I glared at him.

He laughed and sat beside me."Is it my fault that you chose Lè Eiffel Tower,Oh great Assassin Master."He replied while smirking.

"Can you please not call me that, and also I liked the view up here, it lets my stress go away." I said

"What stress?" He asked now in a concerned tone.

"You know the life we chose as Assassins,It's just tiring and stressing me out."I paused."I enjoy it really, but it's just..."I glanced down at my shoes.

"It's just what dude?You know you can tell me."He looked at me and pat my back.

"Being a Master Assassin,it's just a lot of work." I finally say.

"Oh."There was an awkward moment of silence between us, as I was about to say something he cut me off."Hey,at least you have the highest rank in the Assassin Order,that only a few can achieve,I know it's a lot of work but with a honored title like that,it might be worth it."

"Heh,maybe you're right Jack,it is a title worth risking,thanks"I said and chuckled a bit.

"You're welcome dude,and what do you mean maybe I'm always right."He said as he stand up and he slowly led out his hand towards me. I grabbed it with my left hand slowly standing up and wiping the dust of my clothes.

I looked at the view in front of me and see the sun setting."We should go home,it's gonna be night time and I still have work to do."I said.

"Yeah right just spare me your lie work and you could just told me."He said smirking at me.

I looked at him with a confused look."What do you mean lie?I'm telling the truth you know"I replied. I walked toward at the edge of the building and looked down at the streets of París.

"Oh please we both know that "work" of yours is your girlfriend,you're just excited to see her."He said now laughing.

I hear a faint laugh and quickly turned around to face him."W-what are you talking about,I-I'm just tired at a hard day's w-work."I looked away blushing and trying to avoid his gaze at me.

He waked passed me and now standing at the ledge getting ready to jump."Sure sure if you say so,don't worry I believe you that's what friends are for."He said with a grin

I really wanna smudge that grin off your face. I murmured. Crossing both my arms at my chest.

"What was that."He asked now looking at me.

"I said you're a great friend Jack,really heartwarming." I replied with a sarcastic tone in my voice

"Aw shucks,that's really flattering dude,especially hearing it from you." He said and making mushy-mushy faces.

I rolled my eyes."Can you please just jump already?"I ask now with a serious tone.

"Fine."As he was about to jump from the ledge to a cart filled with hay, he suddenly asked me a question"Hey dude,does your girlfriend know about this, know the stuff we do?"

I flinched for a moment when I heard the question, She doesn't need to know about this, I thought."No,why do you ask?"I replied.

He slowly crouched down and looked down towards the city."Just asking,and send her my regards will ya?"

I nod."Sure."

"Oh and dude?"As he glanced at me one more time.

"Yea Jack?"I replied

"We work in the Dark to Serve the Light."He told me while pulling his hood over his head and began jumping down toward the haystack.

I hurriedly walked toward the ledge and sees if he makes it to the haystack. Who am I kidding we're Assassins. I thought, and yet he did make it.

I looked at him as he darts through the shadows of the city."We are Assassins." I whispered to myself and also began to jump off the ledge and to the city of París

Yes,this is my everyday life as you can see,and don't worry what happened to me after I jumped at the ledge,but I should be the one to be worried of what should I do tell to my lover.

She doesn't know this side of me and also Jack's but she do know that we are best friends and thinks that my everyday life is filled with adventures and mischiefs with Jack.

I do love her but it would bring harm to tell her I'm an Assassin,So now here I am thinking late at night because of my idiotic friend,of what to tell her,and what should I do?

This is actually my First Book and a work of Story. So sorry for the grammar if I do have some.

And also this story setting is in the 1800s if you guys are confused and the person who narrated this is pretty obvious so no need on telling.
