Chapter 3 Lying

Birds were blissfully chirping outside causing Astrid to slowly opening her eyes. She groaned from the annoyance outside. To rid of this annoyance early in the morning. She began leaning to the left side of the bed expecting to hug her handsome boyfriend hoping Hiccup to make her morning better.

Instead, in reality she hugged a fluffy pillow. She sat up glanced around the room seeing Hiccup nowhere to be found.

Maybe he is already downstairs. She thought.

She hurriedly jumped off from the bed, did a few stretches. Then heading off downstairs. Reaching at the bottom of the stairs, Astrid caught a delightful scent and followed the scent, leading her to the kitchen.

As she entered the room, breakfast was served at the table filling the room with a delightful scent.

"Good morning Sleepy head."A voice said behind her. Astrid turned around seeing Hiccup at the doorway holding a coffee mug.

"Well good morning too, to the person who didn't wake me up."Astrid replied in a playful tone.

Hiccup began walking towards Astrid, until he was in front of her. He set the mug down on the table and slid his two arms around Astrid's waist.

"I was planning to wake you up, but instead I made you surprise breakfast. So tadaah."Hiccup said with a goofy grin on his face.

"Awww, how thoughtful of you Hiccup."Astrid said. She placed her arms around Hiccup's neck then giving him a kiss on the lips.

"But still."She continued."You still didn't wake me up, and you know how I don't like surprises Babe."Earning Hiccup a playful punch to the stomach. Hiccup clutched around his stomach and acting out as if his actually in pain.

"Come on, it's your favorite dish, scrambled eggs with a croissant on the side. Does it not mean anything to you?"Hiccup now looking at Astrid with pleading eyes.

Astrid giggled a bit."Fine fine, just this once, and how can I possibly deny that cute face of yours."Astrid said while pinching Hiccup's cheeks.

"Okay owwww, stop with the pinching, my right cheek still hurts." Hiccup said, holding Astrid's arms.

"I'm sorry about that."Astrid replied eyeing at the scar.

Hiccup placed his hand on his cheek rubbing it."It's okay, now my boo boo needs a kiss to make the pain go away."

"You're such a child sometimes, you know."Astrid rolled her eyes."If I kiss it will the pain go away?"She asked playing along the act.

Hiccup nodded.

Astrid then gave Hiccup a sweet kiss on the cheek."Feeling any better?"

Hiccup hugged her closer."Much better to be Frank."Hiccup said with a smile on his face.

Astrid leaned closer to Hiccup's chest."So about breakfast, care to join me? Astrid asked while feeling warm and cozy.

"I can't right now."He replied

"And why is that?"

"Well for starters I already ate, and second, me and Jack are looking for Jobs this morning or just be reckless as usual."

Astrid pulled apart then placed her hand on Hiccup's cheek."You know I can handle the taxes by myself Hiccup."Astrid said looking at him directly. "You don't need to do this."

Hiccup held her hand."I know that being an officer to the law pays well."

Yea right, an officer to the law. She thought.
