Everyone knew that Marinette Dupain-Cheng is one of the class's studious students. They knew that she was a straight A student, despite her constant tardiness these past several days. She would constantly participate in class and would do her very best in her studies; there was not a single failing grade in her card in all her subjects.

And that is why it was a surprise to everyone that the one and only Marinette Dupain-Cheng failed Chemistry class.

"But I aced all my activities, projects, assignments – everything! There must be a mistake here—" Marinette protested.

The teacher sighed deeply. "Miss Dupain-Cheng, I certainly did not make a mistake. I double-checked everything, but you really did fail my subject. Your exams were low, and so were your activities."

The jet black-haired girl could feel the heat rising up her cheeks as the class stared at them in either disbelief or confusion. It was embarrassing to her, really. To be announced as one of the failed students in the class was absolutely embarrassing, especially since Adrien was there, too! Now what would the teen model think of her? Her blood boiled in anger once her eyes caught sight of the two snickering girls beside her, who were clearly pleased by what they were witnessing right now. She clenched her fists tight, muttering curses under her breath as she tried to keep her composure.

"B-But—" Marinette started.

"Therefore, I will be assigning Adrien to tutor you for the next several days since he is after all one of the best in this class. After a couple of months, we'll see if anything changes in your grades."

But of course, Chloe will most definitely not let that happen.

Chloe stood up from her seat and exclaimed angrily, "Wait, Miss, I'm pretty sure that Marinette can study Chemistry on her own! So, there's no need for my Adrikins to tutor her!"

"Miss Bourgeois, you do not make decisions for my students. Now, if you please, sit down or earn a ticket to the Principal's office." said the teacher as she glared at the furious teenager. Chloe hesitated for awhile and did as she was told and grumbled under her breath as Sabrina patted her back comfortingly.

Everything went in a blur afterwards. Marinette tried to process everything she just heard; she was going to be tutored by Adrien Agreste, the love of her life, her Prince Charming, her hero, her future hus—Okay, maybe that's a bit too much. But seriously, it seems like heaven to her. Various scenarios began to play in her head, barely listening to what her teacher was discussing to her presently. Maybe failing Chemistry class wasn't so bad after all.

"Is that clear, Miss Dupain-Cheng?" said the teacher once she was done explaining.

The teacher raised an eyebrow at Marinette, who was clearly spacing out. She shrugged her behaviour off, knowing that the news of her failing her class must have shocked her so much. She cleared her throat to catch her attention and called, "Miss Dupain-Cheng?"

Marinette snapped out of her thoughts and jumped in her seat before saying, "Yes! Yes, sir—No! I mean Ma'am!" The woman in front sighed and nodded before standing up and gathering her things from the table.

"All right, that will all be for now. Class dismissed." Her voice boomed throughout the classroom.

Students began to file outside the classroom, while Marinette debated on whether she was going to approach Adrien right now or later. Her heart was pounding in her chest, and she could feel her feet getting jelly. She was practically having a panic attack.

"Girl, you better move or you will not be able to hang-out with him," spoke Alya in front of her. She slumped her shoulders forward in frustration. "I know, Alya! It's just that... I can't go and waltz to him like this. I mean, look at me: I'm currently a nervous wreck! How am I suppose to face him?" Marinette said as she made exaggerated movements with her hands, a look of distress on her face.

"Well, play it cool and calm down. You'll never make progress if you keep stuttering in front of him. Oh! And speaking of Adrien..." she pointed behind her, where Adrien was fast approaching their way. In an instant, she became an absolute mess. She turned to her best friend pleadingly, but Alya merely gave her a thumbs-up before exiting the classroom as well.

"Hey Marinette!" Marinette jumped at the sound of his voice in front of her, and silently growled at the fact that Alya left her alone with Adrien. She inhaled and exhaled as she tried to calm herself. Afterwards, she began to frantically move her hands around her face and body as she checked her appearance. Hair? Check. Clothes? Check. Face? Well, she didn't have a mirror with her to use to check, but she was guessing it was all right.

Seeing that Adrien was in front of her, she puts on a sweet smile and did her best to not look nervous, saying, "U-Uh hey Adrien! W-When will we have our session? I mean our tutoring session!" said Marinette. 'So far, so good.' she proudly thought to herself, gaining a bit of confidence in the process. Adrien shrugged and smiled at her and replied, "Well, I'm free every lunch break. How about that?"

Marinette beamed and slightly jumped. "Yes! Sure! Lunch break!" Adrien chuckled at her behaviour and placed a hand on her shoulder as he looked into her eyes. Her feet began to feel weak, and she felt like she was about to fall any minute now. "I'll see you in the library then? Let's start tomorrow, okay?"

The heroine gulped and said, "Y-Yeah! Okay!"

She frowned once Adrien took off his hands from her shoulder and headed for the door. He stopped by the door-frame and turned to the love-struck teen. "See you, Marinette!" He said as he waved his hand at her. Marinette waved back as she stared dreamily and whispered, "See you too, Adrien."

Her purse clicked, and out came the giggling pink kwami. "Wow, you just gained the once in a lifetime opportunity to talk your your crush! Plus, you get to know him better!

The next day, Marinette was beyond excited for lunch break. She kept on rambling on and on about it to Alya, squealing occasionally. Throughout the day, she would find herself either staring dreamily at Adrien or daydreaming about different scenarios with him. Chloe was constantly screaming at Sabrina to prevent something from happening between Adrien and Marinette, while poor, helpless Sabrina can't help but feel pressured by the said girl.

The bell rang, signaling everyone that it was lunch break already. As Alya gathered her things, she winked at Marinette and gave her a thumbs-up before exiting the classroom with Nino. Her heart pounded in her chest as she gathered her things and thought about her being with Adrien.

Once she was done, she swung her bag over her shoulder and proceeded to the library. After several debates with herself, she pushed the door open and scanned the room for the blonde boy. It didn't take long for her to spot him seated on one of the chairs as he patiently waited for Marinette. She can't help but stare at him for a minute, observing his features: his gorgeous blonde hair, his mesmerizing emerald eyes, his amazing—Okay, her grades are more important than Adrien's perfections. Unconsciously, she began making her way to Adrien.

His face beamed once he saw her. "Marinette, you're here! Shall we start?" Marinette pulled over a chair beside him, and prepared her things before replying, "U-Uh sure!"

And so, the rest of their time was devoted to studying, and a bit of talk about each other.
