The Mysterious Case of Room 26C

The Story Begins

Ok well you may or may not read this weird take on a loosely based Cinderella story but if you do there is something you should know. I am really not taking this story seriously at all, it's a 'I'll write more when I'm bothered kind of thing' and I wrote it to entertain my bored ass group of friends also the characters share some of their names but not all characteristics are the same. Some are a little more smoother in this than in reality.....*cough* Siena *cough*. Jokes aside I apologise for my poor writing skills and I'm letting you know ahead of time if you do get invested in this story that your heart WILL be broken because I won't update for who knows how long and maybe a few character incidents along the way, so you have been warned—proceed with caution.

PART 1

They all stood outside of room 26C waiting for their science teacher to arrive. Frigetta was off chatting with Siena about something maybe it was about kpop and the latest comebacks, Natasha was just chatting away with Harold about their weekend mall shenanigans, but of course Cameron was off in la la land dreaming of his sleek, silvery MacBook. The rest of the class was just conversing with each other, but they don't really matter because they are all just background characters. The teacher finally appears to unlock the doors to room 26C, letting the children flow into the classroom. They all piled in with the usual greeting of "Hey miss!" And she would greet them in return. As all the students gradually were seated, preparing themselves for the boredom of summarising chapters of the textbook. They were taken aback when the teacher stated that they would not be doing usual class work today. The whole class arose in a cheer, most students assumed they would be doing a prac, maybe watching a documentary or even just having some free time for the lesson!

The teacher shushed the class and they all settled waiting in anticipation for what is to come. The teacher fished out a book from her satchel and placed in on the centre desk in the classroom, the students were all gazing at it, leaning in to it, straining to see it from their seats. The class collectively sighed with disappointment, "It's just a story book! What is so exciting about a lame story book!" a student exclaimed from their seat. "Uh, Uh, Uh, that's not just any story book it's an interactive story book." The teacher informed whilst shaking her finger. "Oh Miss, are you gonna have us perform or something? Like drama?" Another student chimed in. "Of sorts but not quite what you are thinking" the teacher responded. Frigetta glanced over to Siena and they both shared a questionable look about what was to come. Natasha was dancing to a rhythm in her head but she was just happy that she didn't have to do any work, whatever was to come she didn't care. Cameron was still daydreaming about his shiny and smooth MacBook, the boy just couldn't get enough all whilst Harold was slyly checking Siena out.

The teacher then told the class to get comfortable, most assumed that she would be reading them the story but others were confused because she had previously said their would be some acting of sorts. The teacher then proceeded to open to the first page of the book and she traced the letters of words whilst reading them aloud to the class, "Fair o'l fairytale on this page cast your magic spell and turn this fairytale book into our stage" the teacher then began to back up near her desk preparing herself for what was about to unfold. One by one the students closest to the book began to doze off into their seats until all of the class was in an unconscious state of mind. The teacher hummed, satisfied for what she had done, she settled herself into her chair and began to mark some test papers, "This will keep 'em busy for a while, just enough time to finish marking these goddamn tests!" So it seems as if all the students are in a dream state neither knowing that the classmate beside them is sharing the same dream, all that happens in here is shared through the minds of all students. Whatever the students actions and whatever they say are what they truly desire from life and what they wish they could do in reality that they can only do in their dreams. What is to happen to the students of classroom 26C in this wacky world they have delved into, what is to come in this dreamy fairytale land.
