PART 3
Natasha and Frigetta had found each other during the night and were having a heart to heart conversation about llamas and apple juice. "I just really love juice, especially if it freshly squeezed from the apple orchard and is kind of chilled." Informed Frigetta, "I can't tell you how much I desire fresh apples and juice savouring the juice of it when i bite into it." Added Natasha. They both sat there transfixed by their shared love of Apples, they gazed into each other's eyes and Natasha took Frigetta's hand and slowly drew circles with her thumb on the back of her hand, easing both their nerves. When they were together nothing else existed but each other, it felt so right to be here tonight under the moonlight, both just comfortable in each other's company. "So you guys are into apples too?" Natasha and Frigetta were snapped out of their lovely daze by a tuxedo wearing robot boy, it was Cameron. "Well I mean I really think Steve jobs is so inspirational, you just got to thank him for the wondrous creation that is the MacBook, I could just go on about it for days have you guys heard the story of how Apple got its name?" Cameron was overly enthusiastic about this beloved topic, Natasha and Frigetta shared a questionable glance, Natasha then looked over to where the boy was standing, "Yeah we better start calling you mr. Morric with the way you are going on about it, yeah were talking about apples but the real kind, like the fruit not the computers." "Oh I see what you mean, well I will be over here near the fountain if you guys need me." And with that Cameron solemnly waddled over to the edge of the water fountain.
Cameron wasn't looking where he was walking and ran into a human wall, "Oh sorry I didn't see you there!" He apologised, "Nah it's ok, people always seem to be running into me. My friends call me fire wall because of my hair you see." The human wall gestured to her flaming locks. "I'm Mackenzie." She held out her hand and Cameron gladly took it. "Oh uh yeah I guess I better introduce myself aswell, I'm ron-a-tron oh shit, I mean Cameron." The boy awkwardly rubbed the back of neck embarrassed. "Haha well it would make sense seeming as you are dressed as a robot, it's cool. No one here really seems to stand out from the crowd but you had the opportunity to and you took it!" She giggled but it was the nicest thing anyone has said the boy all night. "Oh uh thanks I guess, I mean you look great as well, more like stunning omg I'm sorry I will shut my mouth now." The boy turned away in shame but he was honestly so taken aback by this girl's beauty he just couldn't help it. "No need to be sorry, I kind of find you really cute but in less of a cupcake way." With that the boy just could not form words any more he was attempting to gather himself when he tripped into the fountain, drenching his costume and a few of attachments to his outfit fell off. He was so embarrassed he just sat there with a blush swelling on his cheeks. "The red headed girl couldn't contain her laughter, she thought it was down right adorable the way he was carrying himself. She offered her hand to help him up out of the water. It took the boy a while to look back at the girl but when he did he clumsily took hold of her hand and was heaved out of the water. "I Uh umm yeah... s-sorry about that...." The boy uttered. "Hehe no it's all good, really, this just makes you that more attractive." She responded wiping a stray tear from her eye caused by her laughing fit. Cameron was so confused but in awe that this stunning fire wall would ever find him attractive in a tux wearing robot costume, soaking wet. "You should see your face! It's hilarious but at the same time so adorable, we should probably get your things out of the fountain." Mackenzie said gesturing to the water and the trinkets beneath. They both started to collect the fallen items off Cameron's costume, Mackenzie picked a little spoon up dropped in in the garden bed behind them. "Look at clumsy me, dropping everything." They both went to pick it up, their hands touching in the process. They made eye contact for a split second before Cameron got up with the spoon. "Uhh yeah thanks for the help, I really appreciate it and so does this dirty little spoon." He said whilst glancing down at the mud covered utensil. She giggled, "It's my pleasure." The clock stroke twelve and mackenzie's face changed from calm to frantic in a matter of seconds, "I Uh it's was really great to meet you but I really got to run, Y'know parents and curfew." With that Mackenzie ran off into the palace grounds, Cameron began to chase after her, "Wait uh can we meet again sometime?" His words trailed off with the wind, she probably didn't catch what he had said.
Cameron walked towards his room only to find a MacBook alone on a courtyard bench, he went over to it and inspected his findings, it was coloured a brilliant red and on the upper left hand corner of it read 'MAC NZ, firewall' Cameron had come to the realisation that the red headed girl he had laughed with by the fountain was in fact a MacBook, what kind of distorted Cinderella story was this? Feeling deflated as ever he returned to his room only to fall asleep to the sound of his heart breaking.
