Warning: Cussing
#_#_#_#_#Shogo, though still worrying, was pleased with the outcome of Toma's tutelage. His little sister stood in front of him. She beamed as she showed her scores of the exams that they had just been through.
"Look! Look! It's higher than ever! I almost got a hundred on my science!"
He smiled back at her and ruffled her hair. She silenced and settled for a smile. She skipped away into the kitchen and swirled hot water on top of it. The coffee slowly poured into the pitcher under the strainer.
The doorbell rang. She heard her brother's footsteps fade slowly away. She stopped and peeked out of the kitchen door while carrying two mugs of coffee. She went into the living room and put the mugs atop the coffee table.
They soon came in from the hallway. Toma smiled at the sight of Yuzu putting the mugs down. He came to love her coffee which would sometimes annoy her brother.
She offered him some of the coffee beans once because he suddenly just hugged her in thanks for the coffee. He immediately let go as he felt the room's temperature dropping. Shogo's eyes bore holes into his head. He refused it by saying that he doesn't actually know how to brew. It immediately ended there.
He sat down and took the mug in his hands. He relished in its aroma before taking a sip.
Yuzu left and the two older men were alone. Shogo sipped his coffee then said calmly, "I do hope there won't be a repeat of what happened because we won't know what will be the next incident." His eyes stared straight at Toma right after saying that with a hint of threat.
He laughed and waved his hand. "Don't mistake my deed. I just really loved the coffee."
Shogo hummed, seeming as if he was satisfied with the answer.
Yuzu quickly came in with a bag slung to her shoulder. She soon sat down with them, waiting for them to be finished. As soon as they put their mugs down, she asked, "So Toma-sensei, may I hold a scalpel now?"
Yes, sensei. Before the second person, she started calling him that because her grades started to improve. She started to recognize him since then.
As Toma was about to answer, Shogo beat him to it. "You're not going with him today. We'll be discussing about a matter privately so you're not allowed to leave today."
She frowned slightly and went along with the decision quietly. It was not her call in this matter. She decided to clean today and prepare dinner for that night.
They stood up and walked down the hallway. They slipped on their shoes and they waved her goodbye. Shogo reminded her to lock the whole house then left.
Yuzu ran to the kitchen and pulled out a seasoned fish from the freezer. She pulled her sleeves up and put on an apron.

Toma laughed at Shogo. "I didn't peg you as the overprotective brother. You don't really have to worry about me making moves on your little sister."
Shogo continued to walk seemingly unfazed. It would do them good if the other shut up but he let it be. He waved a taxi over. They went in and he said their destination.
The ride went on. They passed by many ways and Shogo was noting places that were interesting in his mind-- the places to be, places he would go to, and places to meet. In his subconscious, he would think of where to go with her little sister.
Adjust the happy thoughts, he also secretly noted the car that he noticed that was tailing them ever since they passed an intersection.
They went down and paid their fee. They walked through different alleys. The sound of their footstep made a rhythmic pit pat and occasional splashes whenever they stepped on a puddle.
