Wow. I never knew that granny was a nice person after all... ____ said in her thought while she continued walking her way to her house.
*Flashback*
"Wow, you must be using some kind of product to make yourself look young." ____ complimented as she was amazed of it.
"Then, here. Take this." Charlenne's grandmother said as she let out a small medicine box from her red LV (Louis Vuitton) bag.
"W-What's this?" ____ asked as she took it.
"Oh, it's just a treatment for skin care. That's what I use to look this young." Charlenne's grandmother said.
"I can't take such expensi-"
"That's nothing, dear. I still have a lot of those since I also own skin treatment medicines. You can have more of those if you want." Charlenne's grandmother replied.
"U-Uh, one is fine for me. Thank you, Ma'am." ____ said as she let out a nervous laugh.
"Just call me 'Aunt Carol'." Charlenne's grandmother reminded.
"Sure, Aunt Carol." ____ corrected her own statement this time.
"You know what, I like you. It's good that you're Charlenne's friend." Aunt Carol said happily.
"R-Really?"
"You're the only friend of Charlenne who stood up for her and did this much just for her..." Aunt Carol explained.
"And... please continue to be her friend. I really want her to be happy. I hope she would tell me about it." Aunt Carol said as she let out a soft smile.
Wow... I never knew Charlenne's grandmother is different from what I expected... ____ thought.
"I will." ____ said as she let out a smile.
*End of Flashback*
I wonder how's Charlenne though? I already told her about it yesterday when I just finished talking to her grandmother and went home yesterday. She went back to talk to her mother today, that's why I've been wondering if they'll understand each other... ____ thought as she entered her house.
- The Chen's mansion-
"Grandma?" Charlenne called as she entered the mansion.
"Charlenne dear..." Charlenne looked to see her grandmother right in front of her.
"I heard that you want to talk to me..." Charlenne said.
*Flashback*
"Charlenne, you need to talk with your grandma." ____ said.
"No, I don't think she wants to talk to me." Charlenne replied.
"She's not what you think, Charlenne..." ____ stated.
"... Just trust me and please just talk to her for once?" ____ added as she looked at Charlenne with a serious expression.
*End of Flashback*
"Yes, I want to explain some things for you to understand. Let's have our talk in the living room." Aunt Carol said then the both of them proceeded to the living room and took their seats on the sofa.
"Charlenne, I just want to say... I'm sorry." Aunt Carol said as her face saddened.
"What?" Charlenne questioned, surprised of her grandmother's statement.
"I'm sorry for making you misunderstand. The truth is, the reason why I arranged this marriage, is because I want you to have a better and happy life. But, I guess it doesn't." Aunt Carol explained.
"I thought you forced into this engagement..." Charlenne replied as she's still confused.
"But I thought you were happy since you said that it's fine and that you love him." Aunt Carol stated.
"Then why didn't you tell me that you can break off the engagement?" Charlenne asked.
"First of all, I was going to say that, but since your attitude towards me, I felt disrespected of that mad tone of yours that you didn't let me explain..." Aunt Carol answered then Charlenne's face saddened.
"Second, I didn't know that you love someone else and that you are a lesbian since you didn't tell me." Aunt Carol added.
"But I thought you didn't like homosexuals..." Charlenne said.
"What are you talking about?" Aunt Carol questioned, confused of what Charlenne's saying.
"Since you made me marry to some guy and also of your strict and grumpy attitude, I thought you don't like homosexuals..." Charlenne explained.
"Dear, just because I made an engagement between you and a guy doesn't mean I don't accept homosexuals." Aunt Carol stated as she was shocked at her granddaughter's statement.
"R-Really?" Charlenne questioned.
"Yes. The reason why I act grumpy is because I'm really sad of my son's death Your father..." Aunt Carol explained as her face saddened.
"Charlenne, my dear. I'm sorry. I'm sorry for treating you strictly and being cold towards you. I'm really bad at showing my love for you even in this age and for me being your grandmother. I'll still love you always for who you are... even if you're not perfect or you're not what I expect, I still love you." Aunt Carol apologized as she looked at her granddaughter.
"Grandma... I'm sorry." Charlenne said as she went to her grandmother and hugged her tightly as she let out her tears.
"It's okay, dear... I should have understand you better." Aunt Carol muttered as she hugged Charlenne and formed a soft smile on her face.
I love you, grandma...
