Up Side Down In Spades

I look up from out side the castle and see a boy pacing on the roof of the up side down floating castle. I can hear him mumbling to him self. As Rascal shouts for him to come down. I star to worry he is going to fall but instead he walks down the side of the castle my stomach almost keeps out of my body and runs off at the sight.
As he comes down a white cat with purple stripes jumps in his arms.
He starts to pet the cat the cat looks at me grins then disappears only to appear on my shoulders raped around like a boa.

"Why if it isn't little Ms. Rose Hearts"
The cat says

"You can talk" I say

"What in wonder land doesn't talk"
The cat says rolling it's eyes

"Don't mind Cheshire she can be a bit how you say weird" the cats smile appears on top of Jacks head then the rest of her appears

"You must be Jack" I say

"That would be me" he said

"I expected you to do some thing odd no offense" I said

"Oh its quite all right  I just like to keep my head on my shoulders in like my parents" the said with a hint of a scowl

"And you must be Rose Hearts" he said
"Then of course Rascal and Cloe " when he said her name it sounded sour and his face became a scowl

"It's nice to see you too nut job"
Cloe said whit an equal scowl. Both of them looked tense as one waited the other to make a move

"Hey guys lets just find your rooms and get ready for the ball" Rascal said

"That sounds like a great idea Rascal"
I chip in. We all walk to our rooms which are surprisingly normal compared to the rest of the castle.
I am glad to dress my self for once instead of maids rushing a round me getting me ready in a dress I don't like.
This time I pick out a dress that has black hearts with a red back ground it's a bit poofy but it will due it's a lot better than the other ones. Then I pick out a mask which is a  black half  mask that has red and white hearts on it. I brush my blonde hair. I look at my pale skin from years of being keep inside the castle. I look back in the mirror and see my blue eyes shining back as they are soon hidden by the mask. I put on a pair of black boots and knock on my cousins door.

"Hey Cloe you almost done"
I say

"Ya I am almost done"
She said

Cloe walks out in a black dress with white clubs at the waist line she wears a white half mask with black clubs on it. Her hair almost blending in with the dress. I can't see her brown eyes but she is ready to have some fun. She pull out two crowns one white with red heart shaped jewels the other black with white club shaped jewels.

"Cloe how did you get these" I ask

"Well I brought yours with me cause I knew you would be here" I gently place her crown on her head and she places my crown on my head.

That when Rascal and Jack walk in with some one else with them a boy in a white suit. Then I realize it's Lawrence.
I look at Cloe she is staring at him kinda in aw. But she soon snaps out of it.

"Hi Rose I didn't think you would be here, who is your friend there" he said pointing at Cloe. Cloe starts to blush.

"I am Cloe Clubs" she said bashfully

"I am Lawrence of diamonds" he said trying to sound charming but failing badly

It made Cloe giggle. I elbow her in the side she elbows me back. Then Cheshire walks in and Jack ask

"Cheshire why haven't you changed" he said scolding her

"Oh right" she said then she transformed into a human girl. Of course she had clothes her hair was purple her eyes green her skin white with a ball gown that was purple and white "all done"

"Wow that's some magic trick" Lawrence said Cheshire gave a stern look

"It's not a magic trick" Jack said

"Sheer it isn't cats can total talk and transform into to girls" Lawrence said

"Actually they can" Jack said calmly

"They can" said Lawrence "then where do I get one" he said

"I am one of a kind" Cheshire said

"You must be Jack"Lawrence said

"I am sir and you must be Lawrence" he said

Rascal offers me his arm I accept polite with a smile. I though I would never be able to smile a real smile. I look back to see Lawrence offer his arm to Cloe. She turns red and takes his arm. Then I see Jack offer his arm to Cheshire but she just keeps on walking.

We walk through the many weird halls down to the ball room. I expect to see the disco ball and hear country music but I don't. Every one is on the ground there is no disco ball or country music.
I shigh  with relief. A man at the top of the stairs announces your names.
Princess Cloe of Clubs Prince Lawrence of diamonds Lady Cheshire Prince Rascal of Jokers everyone looks up in shock and Princess Rose of Hearts everyone is in complete shock. I look around the room and see a woman in a huge dress looking up at me with a blazing anger in her eyes. I know who she is. As the six of us descend the stairs I remember the sword I hid under neath folds of my skirt that I could pull if I needed it. Rascal can make his paper out of thin air. Most people think the hearts don't have any ability or power besides  beauty but we do depending on our strength and age we can summon walls of thorns and roses which is why we have so many in our castle. The Rose can be our greatest weapon. This is a room filled with powerful and dangerous people. The royals all was have the first dance.

For my friend Les who is sick in bed get better soon
