I was shocked the flower talked my brain could not process what was going. Then Rascal started dragging me away. Then I like the night of the ball a storm of playing cards surrounds me and Rascal. My brain is going haywire. When card storm stops were in a clearing in the woods. This part of spades looks normal compared to what I saw earlier. It looks like a normal clearing in the woods except for a large area covered in ash and char there was no grass the grown was black. There was not even a hint of what might have been a building. But I knew this was Rascal's first home. This is where he went for so many hours I see a rock by the ash and char.
"This is it" he said "his is last of my old home" he had a look of sadness and joy on face "and your the first person I have ever showed this place too"
He said
"Wow" i said. So this what happened to the jokers. He seemed to notice my surprise.
"Rose are you ok??"
He asked
"I can't believe my mom did all this"
I said sounding distant "how dose this happen why is she mad why did she do this?!?!?!?!" I feel faint. I refuse to faint Rascal showed this place to me and I am not going to back out cause of my mom.
"Calm down Rose"
He said
"Why did she do this... How could she do this" then I remember the war of cards and all the villages she burned to the ground. My eyes filled with tears but I dare not shed one.
"Well we better hurry we wouldn't want to be late for the spades ball"
He said
"Why would we want to go to the spades ball" I ask
"Because that's the last place they would look for a run away princess"
He said with a smirk "plus we never did get to have a proper dance unless you count dueling of corse"
"Are you asking me dance"
I say smirking back
"I am just saying it would be nice...
If you don't want to we don't have to"
He said
"I would love to Rascal"
I say over joyed
"Plus you aren't allowed to arrest anyone at the ball and jack owes me a favor or two" he said
"Isn't that a masked ball" I ask
"Why yes it is"
He said
"That perfect"
I say. Can't help but smile
Then I remember I left Bud with the flowers.
"Hey Rascal why don't we get Bud before she eats the flowers"
I say
"That's probably a good idea"
He said
Then we teleport back to where the flowers are just as bud is about to take a bite out of the rose.
"Bud sit" Bud sits on the ground with a disappointed look on her face. I pull out an apple and her face changes dramatically to pure joy. I giggle a bit as Bud's tail wags.
"Come here girl" and she trots over to me "sit" and she sits "stay" and she stays "roll over" and she almost runs over Rascal.
"Oops sorry Rascal"
I say
"It's ok at lest your horse listens to you"
He said pulling on this brown mustang.
"Come on coco" the horse stands firm unmoving.
"Hey coco" I say "do you want a treat"I say pulling out a another apple.
"Sit. Stay. Roll over"
He fallows the commands very well. And Rascal's jaw is hanging open.
I grab coco's rains and pull him close to me and look in the eye.
"Listen Coco you better listen to Rascal or we are going to have really problems do you hear me" he looks at Bud she nods her head. Coco looks a bit scared. I let go of the rains give him his apple and said.
"Good boy" Rascal's mouth is still hanging open. As coco walks over to him. Coco walks over to him a nudges him he still doesn't move. I walk over and wave my hand over his face he still doesn't move.
Just then a all most golden horse wait ha hooded rider comes by and a familiar voice says.
"Hi cuz"
And run over and hug her
"Cloe !!"
I say with surprise
"Hiding out at the ball I am guessing"
She said
"Hey what's with clown boy over their she says pointing at Rascal"
She said
"Oh that's not a clown that's my boy friend, and kinda the last of the jester family" I say
"Oh my bad " she said perkily
"Hey why isn't he moving" she asked
"Oh he kinda in a state of shock or some thing" I say
"Well what happened" she asked
"Well his horse was a bit rowdy so I kinda tamed it a bit. He was getting no where with him" I said
"Oh I have some thing for that"
She pulls out a flask of blue elixir
Pulls the cork and waves it in front of his nose. And he snaps back.
"What just happened"he looked me then noticed Cloe "ah who are you?!?!"
He said
"Clam down Rascal it's just my cuz Cloe Clubs" I say "Cloe Rascal Cloe" I say
"Hi" she says
Rascal still looks freaked out
"Well let continue to the castle"
