I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. Alec was leaning against the counter with a cup of coffee in his hand. No doubt it contained alcohol.
"Rowen.", he smirked. I grabbed a mug and poured my own cup of coffee.
"Pig.", I smiled innocently. He glared at me.
"Bitch.", he gave me the same smile.
"Why, you little-"
"Guys. Knock it off.", my mother warned, cutting me off. I turned to see Alec smirking again. I flipped him off and walked out of the room. I grabbed my backpack and my keys.
"I'm leaving now!", I called in to the kitchen.
"Have a good day at school, Sweetheart.", Alec mocked.
I rolled my eyes and walked outside. I jumped into my truck and started the engine. I pulled out of the driveway and headed for the school. When I got there I saw Aden car was already parked in his usual spot.
I walked into school and headed for my locker. I saw John leaning on the locker beside Aden down the hall. I grabbed my books and walked over to them.
"Hey guys.", I greeted.
"Well speak of the devil.", Aden said with a smirk. Why was everyone smirking today?
"Right, well we need to get to class or we are going to be late.", I said grabbing John's hand and walking to class.
"Well good morning to you too.", John chuckled, kissing the top of my head.
"Sorry.", I said looking up at him. "Good morning."
He chuckled again, snaking his arm around my hip. We walked into class and took our regular seats. Some of the guys in the back were whispering and pointing at John. I knew he couldn't see them but I grabbed his hand. I knew that people stared but I usually just ignored them. But for some reason, it was bothering me. I could feel them staring at our backs all of class.
It wasn't just in that class either. The guys were staring at us everywhere we went. John looked uncomfortable, so I asumed he could feel them staring at us too. We sat at our lunch table per usual. I was talking to Peyton about prom when out of the corner of my eye I saw the guys walking toward us.
"Well what do we have here?", one of the guys asked looking from his friends to us. He had blond hair and was wearing a football jacket. "Is this your girlfriend John?"
John just ignored them, but Aden looked like he was about to kill them.
"See what I don't understand is how a blind weirdo like yourself, has a girlfriend.", the blonde smirked as his friends laughed.
Aden shot up out of his seat and was beside the guys, he grabbed a fist full of the guys shirt. "I suggest you leave. Now." But the blonde only laughed. Aden raised his hand in a fist, ready to throw a punch.
"Aden!", Peyton yelled.
"Listen, buddy, you better leave my friends alone or we're going to have a problem.", Aden threatened.
"Aden.", John said calmly from the table. "Stop."
Aden just stared at him for few moments. It felt like an eternity before he sighed and lowered his fist. He shoved the guy one last time.
