Oh god. How I hated travelling. I knew that this would happen again eventually. The Halkiman are not stupid enough to not have found and killed at least 4 of us with in the first 200 years.
It's difficult to live a normal life, as most of the time, get a new ID, new house when most of the time it's wooden so that I can burn it afterword's. Yep. My life is hard. What can I say? I'm almost 200 years old! Although I have to admit, most of the others from my planet got to thousands of years old, but ended up getting missing.
It's lonely being me. I can't just go home with someone and have dinner with them. It's not that easy. I hate the part when they invite me to go swimming with them. Every immortal has two stars on their hips, but always different colours. Mine are ocean blue, just like my eyes.
Oh, another thing I didn't tell you. Your eyes are the same colour of your star. Lucky I don't have to wear contact lenses. But you can change that with your powers as some people have yellow, the same as my fathers when I was a little girl.
I may or may have not told you before, but every one of us can read minds and run at least the speed of sound. My power in this case it being able to travel with my mind. I think of a place, and I can transport to it. It took a lot of practise. The first time I did it, I imagined my first home here, but I ended up in a public toilet.
At the moment I am walking home to just get the things that I need. Like spare clothes, emergency money and things like that.
It's really dark in my house. It wasn't much but I see the occasional rat here and there. Ew. Even I'm scared of them. Those walking little pest. I'm just getting my rucksack that my first family gave me. You know, the one I told you about at the beginning. I couldn't start off my life not knowing anything about humans. Obviously they're dead now because no human lives to 200 years old.
Goodbye 815th house that I have ever lived at.
Now that that's cleared, I need to find a school, another ID, just cause I can, money, clothes and that's it.
I don't really have to take public transport because I can run really fast, which is lucky I guess.
I had finally arrived at my next destination. California. Meant to be a nice place, but I'm staying in San Jose, chillin' on the outskirts of the beach close to a forest.
The house I'm staying at... Don't even ask. It looks like a bunch of people just died there. Ugh.
As I slowly walked through the house, each step giving a loud creek from the floor board, I suddenly saw a light.
I opened the blind a little and see this amazing forest, just like in the Amazon! Yeah, I've been there too. The waterfalls were glistening in the light, the sun, leading through the tiny gaps from the leaves and a small purple flower, in the middle of all of it.
I hopped out the window, I could be bothered to walk all the way round the house, and stood there, admiring the view that stood before me.
Slowly, I started running. Picking up the pace. I was speeding through everything in front of me. Trying to take in the area. It seemed to me as if it was unknown to the area, which meant I felt the freedom of being able to use my powers.
Each step I took, I remembered what it looked like. I then decided that because no one was around, I could transport deeper into this forest.
That's when I started thinking. I imagined and amazing spot. Deep into the trees, surrounded by the nature evolving around it. I started running. Really fast, what I would think was probably around 300-400 MPH. When I got to the speed I was comfortable with, I vanished, leaving a small twinkle of blue light behind me, which would eventually vanish into thin air, completely oblivious to the human eye.
One I had transported to the place in which I had imagined, I suddenly saw someone, sitting high up on the branch of a tree. I took each step, very quietly. I could hear their breathing through the thick trees in my way, which meant that I couldn't see this persons face.
As I got closer and closer, they suddenly lifted up their head. I sprinted to the back of a tree, hoping that they didn't see me.
"Hello?" I heard a deep voice say, whom I was guessing was this person, being a guy? I slowly poked my head out of the tree, attempting to spy on them.
I was clever enough to not reply, but they were also clever enough to start making their way down from the tree. As they lifted up one leg to make their descent, they suddenly started falling down, down, down...
I was about to run and go catch him, but when his feet hit the ground, there was no stumble, no growl in pain and certainly no communication for help. I opened my jaw in dis-belief and stared at him.
I couldn't quite make out his face, as he had his hoody covering it, but his clothes were so dirty, ugh. Before walking over to him, he made his way out of the forest.
I was going to attempt to follow him, but felt it was best to leave him to it. But how had this man done such a thing. He was a human boy. Resist able to anything that came to him. But he had just jumped off a 38ft tree!
It started getting dark, so a quickly made my way home. With every second passing, a new thought came to mind, but then I was always capable of saying out loud,
"Wrong. I am never right".
