Korra ran through the alleyways that she knew so well. The dirt had been covered in stone, and the darkness had been overcome by lights. She had to be careful. While she was 13, Korra still had to learn a few things about the streets. Like when that mean dude from the fish hatchery was coming. Korra ran up onto a wall, quickly finding a flag pole that hung vertically. Korra hung upside down from the poles. She was spying on Mako and Bolin from a third story flag pole. It was thick, so she could use it. Mako and Bolin were running around the street with Asami, smiling and laughing. Korra herself had matured since escaping from that prison a few months ago. She had also learnt to control the now four elements she had.
She wanted to jump down, to greet her now wealthy brothers. And maybe even her new sister. Maybe. But she couldn't, not now. Not until Asami figures out what happened.
Bolin saw her, and waved. Korra smiled, but went deeper into the shadows, and the younger boy got the idea. He went over to Mako, told him something, and Mako nodded. This happened with Asami completely oblivious to the whole situation. Korra smiled at the secret family reunion. For the first time in her life, Korra was at peace. But this was four years ago.
Korra smiled at Asami as they walked in unison to the Surveillance Room. Korra stepped in, greeted by a few walls covered in monitors and desks covered in cameras and batteries, with memory cards, and so on. Asami stepped in after Korra, looking around at the huge room with monitors and such. Korra sat down at a side desk, and pulled out the chairs so Asami could sit on her lap. She did. Korra pressed a few buttons on the keypad next to her, and about seven of the monitors lot up, while the others shut down, along with the lights. Asami watched in awe as they all played the same thing, just from different angles. Korra payed attention to the three figures running on the rooftops, watching all of the monitors simultaneously. Asami was surprised. After who knows how many years of being homeless and helpless, and the other years just growing up, Korra managed to do this. It was just amazing.
"One of them saw us," Korra sighed to herself, putting her head lightly on to back of Asami's shoulder.
"What does that mean?"
"Me, Mako and Bolin didn't have our masks on, so I have to check and make sure that the Blues didn't see our faces. One of them saw Bolin," Korra explained.
"Oh," Asami said, still looking at the monitor.
"Okay. I've got work to do," Korra said, patting Asami to get her to stand up. "Wanna come?"
"Yes!" Asami was excited, and quickly ran out of the room and into the hallway.
Chuckling, Korra walked over to one of the tables, grabbed a camera, memory card, and a small spider like machine. She also grabbed an earpiece and eye camera to control the machine. She then went after Asami, realizing that she didn't know her way through the building.
Asami realized it sooner though, and was patiently waiting for her friend.
