Korra smirked at the man, who was falling on the ground, and landed with a dull thud. "How could you lose to her?" Tenzin scolded the man, who stay lying on the floor. Korra panted heavily, doubling over and breathing harder. Tears started to stream from her eyes. "You okay, kid?"
"Ye-" Korra coughed in the middle of her word, trying to say 'yes'.
"It doesn't sound like it," Tenzin put his hand on Korra's shoulder, who was now shaking. She couldn't talk. "Okay. Since you beat the strongest non-bender, you moved up in ranks, and rooms," Tenzin smiled, remembering his time in the room. The room was the last step to becoming leader of the Benders Mafia. That was two years ago.
"Wait wh-"
"Boss!" A man came through the door, handing Korra a big yellow envelope. He completely cutting off Korra's sentence. Korra took it, and the man left.
The envelope had a new job on it, but Korra had to take care of what was at his first. It was good that Korra was doing this in her office, so she could call people. "Send Mako and Bolin into my office, please," Korra said into a microphone. A few seconds later, both Mako and Bolin came crashing through the door. Korra didn't realize that they were in a heated argument.
"Good. Now that you're both he-"
"Which is better? Lions or tigers?!" They asked, in semi-unison.
"What?" Korra finally understood that they didn't come in because of the call. Asami looked at Korra, who sighed at the two. "Cheetahs. Now, I need you two to go on a job for me. You can ask which is better while you're on it," Korra handed them the envelope, and they went off.
Asami just realized what happened. "Mako and Bolin are here?"
"Yes," Korra said bluntly.
"Shall we get to our job?" Asami asked after a sigh from Korra's simplicity.
"Let us, Miss Sato," Korra opened the door, and they walked to a car that drove them to the police HQ.
Asami knocked on the door, Korra waiting patiently beside her. She was in a suit, with blue accents, while Asami was in a simple red polo shirt with black jeans.
"What?" A man answered. He was in a police uniform, and looked scruffy.
"I'm Asami Sato, new head of Future Industries," Asami said, and the man opened the door to hear her speak. "I'd like to look at some of the police cars that haven't been working as illustrated in my works," Asami said. Korra didn't pick up any of that.
"Kay. Come in. And who is this?"
"This is Erin, my bodyguard," Asami gestured to Korra, who bowed, like rehearsed. She rose a few seconds later. Asami smiled. She gotten the bow down.
"I am to be next to Miss Sato at all times, sir," Korra said, almost wincing at having to speak up to somebody.
"Fine. Both of you, come in," he opened the door, and Korra walked in behind Asami.
"So, what's up with our cars?"
"I think the roof is creating issues with the police scanner," Asami explained. "Plus the wheels aren't made of the rubber that they are suppose to, and the paint is getting chipped," Asami went on after this, and the man listened. Korra did too, until she saw the man who's camera number matched up with him. Yep. They had separate cameras for each officer. Korra moved alongside Asami, secretly nudging her wrist. The man didn't notice. "Who is that?" Asami stopped, and motioned to the man that Korra saw.
"That's Rodney. We call him Rod. Why?"
"We might need some more power to inspect the cars. Can you call him?"
"Of course," the man imitated Korra's bow, getting a silent growl from her. He called over Rod while Asami calmed Korra down.
They then walked towards the police garage, where they keep the cars. "Erin. Could you and Rod get some tools? I'll tell this officer..."
"Jack," the officer said.
"Jack the problems," Asami finished.
Korra bowed to Asami, following Rodney to the tools. "They're right here," he said, and Korra quietly injected the fluid into the back of his neck. They got the tools, brought them to Asami, and Korra waited for the mixture to make Rodney pass out.
"And see this?" Asami pointed to a small crack at the corner of the windshield for Jack to see. "If too much of anything gets onto this windshield, then it'll break. That's not too safe, is it?"
"No, it's not," it sounded like Jack kinda understood what Asami was talking about.
Then Rodney passed out. He fell straight to the floor, dropping his toolbox, as Jack went to his side. "What happened?"
"I'm not sure. He was fine a second ago," Jack said. He glared at Korra. "You wouldn't have anything to do with this, would you Erin?"
"No, sir," Korra bowed slightly, but stayed by Asami.
"What do you think is wrong?" Asami kneeled next to Jack as Korra stayed standing. She needed to play her part.
"I don't know. I'll take him to the infirmary. You two can come another time," Jack said, slinging Rod over his shoulder.
"Okay. Tell Rod to feel better," Asami said, leading Korra out of the building.
When they finally for back to the Benders Mafia HQ, and Korra's office, Asami made a squeal sound and jumped onto Korra, wrapping her arms around Korra's shoulders. "We did it!"
"Yeah. And you did great. How did you know all that about cars?"
"I really am the new owner of Future Industries," Asami said, getting out of the hug. "And you did amazing. You almost broke with the growl, though," ask pointed out. Korra blushed, rubbing the back of her neck.
"Wait. What were you saying earlier? About punishment bei-"
Korra was cut off by Asami grabbing her collar, and pulling their lips together. Korra backed up, and onto her desk, as Asami climbed on top of her. When they finally settled, Asami was straddling Korra, who was using her hands to keep herself upright on the desk. The buttons on Asami's shirt were unbuttoned, and the taller girl was working on unbuttoning Korra's white undershirt. "What do you think I meant?" Korra simply smiled as Asami buried her face in the crook of her neck.
Korra stated silent as Asami slowly made her way down.
