Dipper's POV.
I was half asleep when I noticed that Bill was out of the room and, in curiosity, called out his name. He responded with, "Pinetree?" I smiled lightly and began to calm down. "The one and only." I spoke softly, closing my eyes and laying on the floor. I was too tired tonight. I groaned and rubbed my eyes as Bill chuckled, picking me up. I whined a bit when I was set on the bed and closed my eyes, yawning. Bill smiled and began to walk away. Me, being the tired person I was and being quite the cuddled, actually pulled Bill over and snuggled into him. Yep. Big mistake. It was then when I had finally drifted off to sleep. I actually slept well that night, not waking until at least 7:35. I slowly opened my eyes to the sound of...well, nothing. Our dorms block out the sound of birds. Why? So we don't get distracted and go to class tired. Yet we just managed to do that anyway. I glanced over at my side to see Bill sleeping next to me and froze. I didn't get drunk last night did I? I looked and made sure my clothes were still on. They were. Phew. My mind began to slowly process all of the events of last night. Oh my glob I would have rather been drunk! I sat up and huffed, looking at Bill once again. I actually.. smiled a bit and kissed his forehead, pulling away to see two caramel colored eyes looking back at me, question and absence showing through the open eyes. I paused, nearly slipping off the bed. Well, if nearly means face planting the floor and just dying inside, then yes. I groaned and sat up, holding my bloody nose. Ugh. I looked at Bill. He smiled. My gaze fell to the floor after I noticed drops of blood trailing to the bathroom. I paused. That wasn't my blood. "Bill?" I slowly looked over at the blonde. "Yes, Pinetree?" He asked, sitting up as well. I caught a glimpse of red on his left arm and paused. Bandages were wrapped around his wrists, going from the forearm to the hand. "U-Um...i...is everything okay?..." I felt my voice lower to a whisper and felt as though I were soon going to lose it. "Everything is fine, Pinetree..why do you ask?" He tilted his head. I looked down at the blood. "There's.. the floor...and your arms are.. bandaged..did someone hurt you?" I rubbed my arm, frowning a little. Bill just shrugged and looked away. "Actually. Yes." He spoke. "Emotionally?" I suggested and shook my head. "But your arms.." He just sighed and hugged his knees. "Just an accident with the printer. I was helping Will carry it and it slipped and scraped my arms up." He shrugged.
I exhaled and rubbed my eyes. "If you say so..." He nodded, then paused. "Oh god- I'm- late for class-" he stood up and ran to the bathroom, coming back out dressed in clean attire before rushing off to his class. I nodded and went to move his stuff back over to his bed, picking up the pillow that now lie on the ground. He must have knocked it over. I was about to set it down when I noticed a silver razor labeled, "stainless steel". Although it were apparently stainless, fresh blood dribbled down it. I felt my stomach churn and shook my head. "No....that....that can't be the reason...." I looked down and set the razor back where it were at first, heading to class. I just hoped that Bill wouldn't go too far. I couldn't lose Bill. Even if he is a nuisance half the time, I can't lose him. I sprinted to the classroom and nearly watched at the clock nearly the entire hour. It took forever just for it to end. I was heading to my next class until I was stopped by someone. A girl with pink hair and a pink nearly skin tight dress. She was chewing gum and was a bit tan. The girl seemed pretty.. Well. Extremely ticked off. "What do you think you're doing?" She spat out, narrowing her eyes. "Don't you dare touch my boyfriend." The girl hissed.
I paused, shaking my head. "Wait- what?" I quirked a brow, "I.. don't even know who your boyfriend is..."
She scoffed a reply. "Right. You share the same dorm as him, idiot."
I watched her and came to a stop. "You mean Bill?.."
"Yeah. I do." She rolled her eyes. "What's your name?" I asked, looking away. "Name's Pyronica. And I don't need to be talking to idiots like you." She crossed her arms, flipping her hair, which of course whipped me in the face, before she walked off towards her group of friends. I shook my head and had to blink away water from my eyes. I pressed my lips together, rubbing my arm. I just wiped my eyes and headed to class. I could barely concentrate, for too much was on my mind. Almost every teacher asked if I needed a moment or needed a nurse. I would just kindly decline or shake my head. When the time came for lunch, I carried my lunch tray to my table, blanking when I felt the tray slam into my chest and my nose began to trickle blood. It was a matter of seconds before I realized someone had tripped me. I looked over, seeing Pyronica's smirking from. Nearly everyone snickered and laughed. I looked around, seeing Mabel. She had her hand to her mouth in what I assumed was shock. I bit my lip and exhaled before throwing the tray away and leaving the room to hide any case of tears. I wasn't going to give her the accomplishment of seeing me upset.
I hid in the boys bathroom for the rest of lunch hour, my stomach disagreeing with the no food deal.
I could care less. I wiped my eyes after hearing the bell and left the bathroom, looking around. What I saw was majorly unexpected. Pyronica was spitting out bits of blood and Mabel's hands were clenched, postured in the air.
They both had bruises, Pyronica lost a tooth; while Mabel had a black eye and a bloody nose. She even had a few scratches and was bleeding here and there. Mabel threw a punch, followed by another. "Don't you EVER touch on my brother!" She barked, scowling. Due to her being more hurt than Pyronica, I was surprised she was still throwing punches. "Or what?" Pyronica scowled. "Or I won't be so easy on you." Mabel frowned, crossing her arms before walking away. I guess her being on most of the sports teams in high school really did pay off. I watched them and hesitantly headed for my next class. I would thank Mabel later. I was really glad to have a sister. Even if she would always brag about being the alpha twin. The next few hours actually flew by a bit faster because I was thinking on the positive side. I stood up from my desk, heading to my dorm immediately. I headed inside and slammed the door shut, removing my food covered shirt and sighing. I would have to wash it later. I threw it into the bathroom and huffed a little, hearing the door open and close. Bill. Maybe now I could ask him what was going on with him and Pyronica. "Bill?.." I glanced over at the blonde. "What is it, Pinetree?" He was looking down at his phone. I sighed a bit. "That girl, Pyronica..." His expression changed to one of disgust and he put his phone away nearly immediately. "What about her, Pinetree?" I shrugged a little. "She's your girlfriend, isn't she?" I looked over at him. My heart sinking. "No- No of course not. I broke up with her months ago." He frowned slightly. "I found out I wasn't really attracted to her type." I slowly nodded. "Oh...." I rubbed the back of my neck, searching around for a clean shirt. "Yeah." He laughed a bit. "Why do you ask?" I shrugged. "She said you were together." Bill sighed. "I wouldn't worry about it. She does this every time I meet a new person." I finally found a shirt and nodded, sliding it on. "Do you know why?" I rose an eyebrow. "Because she doesn't want anyone to 'take me away from her'." He rolled his eyes.
I giggled a bit. "Right right of course." I didn't mention the incident at lunch. Thankfully, he goes at another hour for lunch. I flopped down on my bed and hummed, stretching. "You know what, Pinetree?" I rose an eyebrow. "What?" He smiled. "We should invite some of 'em over for a game of Truth or Dare."
"I don't see why not."
