Justin

I'm in my room. It's 2 am and I can't sleep. I'm thinking about Riley.

She's just gorgeous. She has the most beautiful smile ever.

When you see it, you can't help but smile too.

Riles is just amazing. It seems like I can't stop thinking about her.

***

I heard the door open and close. I didn't even bother to look up.

I felt someone climbing in my bed and get under the covers. I opened my eyes to see Jazzy.

"Jazzy, what are you doing here?" I whispered as I closed my eyes again.

"I can't sleep." she pouted.

"Come here."

I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her closer to my chest.

"Goodnight baby girl." I kissed her head.

"Goodnight daddy." she whispered.

I didn't realize what she called me because I was already drifting off to sleep.

***

I woke up by someone moving in my arms. Jazzy, stop moving. I wanna sleep.

I tighted my grip.

"Go back to sleep." I mumbled.

Then I heard someone giggling. And that giggle belonged to Riley.

"Wake up Justin." she whispered in my ear.

"Lemme sleep."

"It's already 2 pm!"

I opened my eyes and was greeted by the most amazing smile ever.

I smiled and sat up. I woke Jazzy up and Riley brought her to her room.

***

"Lucy." I called when I saw her coming out of her room.

"Yes Justin?"

"I need to ask you something."

she nodded for me to continue.

"Can I leave the hospital for a few hours today and probably also tomorrow?" I asked, smiling.

"What are you planning bieber?" she smirked.

"I'm gonna ask Riley on a date."

"She likes you. I can tell."

I smiled.

"So I can go?"

"Yes, Justin. You can." She laughed.

"Thank you. I'm taking Jazzy with me." I told her.

"Okay. As long as I know where you two are, it's fine."

I nodded and walked back to my room. And now I have to think what I will do.

Maybe Jazzy can help me.

Riley

I'm home and my parents wanna talk to me. Seriously? I have no time for this. I wanna go see Justin and Jazzy.

"Sit down sweetie." my mom said.

I sat down on the couch next to her.

"How is working at the hospital?" My dad asked.

A smile appeared on my face only by thinking of Justin and Jazzy.

"Fun. It's great." I replied this smiling.

'I know it's bo- wait. Did you just say fun and great?"

my mom couldn't believe what she heard.

I nodded.

"Yes, I did say fun. I help little kids. They're so cute. Two of them even made me realize some things."

"What for things?"  My dad asked.

"This girl named Jazzy. She's almost 3. Her parents were murdered. They tried to kill her too, but she survived somehow. Her family doesn't want her. She basically has no one. Even though she lost her parents, she has always a smile on her face. She always laugh. She made me realize that you don't need much to be happy. She made me realize that you should do what you love to do because life can be so short. She made me realize that you can be happy with the smallest things. Jazzy is as special to me as I'm to her. She calls me mommy." I took a breath.

"And then you have Justin, a 16 year old boy. He's my bestfriend. When I started working at the hospital he was in a coma. He was for almost 1 year. His parents died in a car accident. Everyone had already given their hopes up, but I hadn't. I believed he would wake up someday. I would tell him things even though I didn't know if he could hear me, but he could. Justin made me realize that no matter what you've been through in life, you just gotta keep on being strong. And everyone deserves to be loved. He made me realize that you can't give up no matter what. They changed me." I told them truthfully.

My mom had tears in her eyes.

"She really calls you mommy?" She asked.

I nodded.

"Really." I smiled.

I actually love it when Jazzy calls me mommy.

"And this Justin boy. You are sure he is not your boyfriend?" my dad smiled.

Not yet.

"No, he's just my bestfriend. So does this mean I gotta go back to my normal life after the holidays?" I asked.

oh did I forget to tell you it's almost Christmas? Well it is. It's Christmas in 1 week. Oh fuck. I still need to go Christmas shopping.

"I think so. But we will talk to the Principal." My mom assured me.

I hope I can keep working there. I don't know what I will do without Justin and Jazzy.
