Oh look a coffee shop one shot im soooooo original.

Whatever these are adorable

You know you love them

Plot: Jack is a barista at his town's local coffee shop. This day in particular the shop is not very  busy and Jack is feeling quite bored. That is until the new guy in town walks in.

Jack/Sean POV

"That will be $3.82" I addressed with a very motioned expression, My fading green hair a mess as I faced the middle aged woman. It was currently 2:44pm in the afternoon. My shift started at 7:30am and this woman is only the 3rd customer to come in today. She silently handed me the money and I turned to the espresso machine to make her drink. This job wasn't the best but I had made some friends here. My co-workers Felix and Signe had become my best friends and we always had a great time together. I had come out as gay a few months after I moved to California and they were totally fine with it. I turned back to the woman carefully handing her her drink and with a calm "thank you" I watched her exit the shop. "Hey Sean, You ok out here?" Signe said walking out from the back. "Yeah, Im fine, its just quiet." I said shrugging a bit, turning to wash some dishes. "Ok, can I talk to you about something." She said rubbing her hands together nervously as she leaned on the counter. "What about?" I replied turning off the water and giving her my full attention. "Well, I don't even know really you've just seemed sad lately. Is everything alright?" She said her caring eyes pleading for me to confide in her. "I...I mean it's nothing horrible, I'm just lonely ya know. Yeah sure I have you and Felix and I couldn't be more grateful for that. But I just need something more, something more personal and intimate." I replied. She gave me a soft smile and placed a hand on my shoulder. "I completely understand that." She said rubbing my shoulder with her thumb. I returned the soft smile giving her a quick hug before shrugging off my apron. "I'm going on my break, i'll be back in like 25 minutes ok." And with that I exited the small shop. I didn't really have a plan for my break other than I was gonna be at work until 7:00pm and I needed a breather, so I just took a nice stroll around town. It was fairly quiet in this part of town so my walk was very relaxing, it gave me some time to think. Like I said it's not that I was ungrateful for Felix and Signe, they are the best friends I've ever had. But their are parts of any relationship that friends can't fulfill. Even though I had told them everything about me and we were as close as any friends could get, I needed something more. Soon enough my break was over and I needed to return to work and continued my oh so exciting job. Signe and Felix were talking about some random video game as I entered behind the counter. "Oh ok good you're back, Don't be mad, but Signe told me about why you've been a little off lately and I just want to tell you that i'm here for you man, always." Felix said giving me a reassuring pat on my arm. "Thanks man, that means a lot." I replied giving him a quick side hug and walking to the back to get my apron back on. Walking back out the day continued on until it was 6:45. Since the woman there had only been 2 more people in the shop and honestly Signe, Felix, and I were about ready to rip out our hair we were so bored. As the three of us were about to give up and head to the staff room, all under the assumption there wouldn't be anymore customers tonight, a familiar jingle rang throughout the store. I turned around to face the customer and it was as if the world suddenly moved in slow motion. Standing before me was literally the most handsome perfectly toned man I had ever seen in my life. The top of his hair a vibrant shade of neon red which perfectly complemented his natural raven black hair which remained on the sides. His hair hung slightly in his face framing his almond brown eyes and brought out his perfectly tan skin. He stood presumably about an inch taller than me, about 5'10. I guess I kind of zoned out because suddenly I was being punched in the arm by Felix. "H...Hi! Welcome to our store. W..what can I get for you." I stuttered out looking at the striking red haired man, a shade of Crimson spreading over my face. He chuckled softly flashing me a warm smile. "I'll take a coffee with hazelnut cream, for here." I quickly nodded grabbing the cup and turning back to him. "Umm, what's your n..name?" I asked picking the the pen. "Mark." He replied smirking, his hand lazily in his back pocket. I wrote his name on the cup and turned around to make his coffee. He walked over to one of the tables taking a seat and pulling out his phone.

Mark POV

I sat down at the table pulling out my phone and texting my best friend Ryan.

M- hey Ryan, guess what.

R- what?

M- I'm at this coffee shop near my new place, and the guy working the counter is super cute. I'm pretty sure he thought I was cute because he was really nervous when I gave him my order.

R- Ohhh! Nice! Give him your number!

M- I will. Just let me flirt a bit.

R- Have fun ;)

Jack's POV

He sat down at the table and pulled out his phone. I quickly turned to Felix and Signe who were both smiling like idiots. "What the fuck is happening!?" I whisper yelled and they both broke into fits of laughter. "This is serious stop laughing!" I said punching Felix in the arm. "I..I'm sorry but this is the cutest thing I've ever seen." Felix said finally being able to control his laughter, Signe got a hold of herself soon enough. "Bro this is a great thing! Maybe this is your chance to have something more! You said that you were lonely, not because you didn't have any friends, but you didn't have anybody to fill that part of you that friends can't!" Felix said excitedly shaking my shoulders a bit. "He's probably not even into guys." I replied shrugging his hands off my shoulders. It was true, I had no way of knowing if he was even remotely attracted to guys. With a face and body like that he most likely has a girlfriend. "Well you'll never know unless you talk to him so go bring him his coffee and stop stuttering like a buffoon. Felix and I will be right here." Signe said handing me his coffee and pushing me to the front of the counter. Taking a deep breath I gathered my composure and slowly walked to him. "H..Hi ummm here's your coffee sir." I said setting his cup down in front of him. "Thank you, and you can call me Mark." He replied taking a sip of his drink. "Oh..umm ok...Mark." God I sound like a fucking idiot. He chuckled a bit taking another sip of his coffee. "What's your name?" He asked looking at me. "Oh m..my name is Sean but most people call me Jack." What the fuck is happening. "Hmm, Jack that's a cute name." He said before sipping his drink again. It literally took all of me not to just fall right then and there but still I couldn't control the smile that came from that comment. "Oh..umm thank you. I like your name too. Mark" WHat in the ActUal FUcK is HaPpeniNg! Everything just went silent after that but he still kept his eyes on me. "D...do I have something on my face?" I asked wiping my cheek with the back of my hand. "No I was just enjoying your smile." He replied swiftly giving me a kind smirk of his own. I could swear my face turned about as red as his hair. "Anyway, thank you very much for the coffee, it was awesome I'll have to come here more often. How much do I owe you?" He asked pulling out his wallet. "Oh right that was $2.75." I replied a little disappointed that he was leaving. "Alright here you go, and here is a tip for your services." He said handing me a $5 dollar bill. Before I could say anything else he was out the door. I went back over to Felix and Signe who looked as if they were about to explode if they didn't know what happened. "So! How did it go!" Signe yelled gesturing to me. "It went fine. First he asked me to call him Mark when I called him sir and then he asked me my name so I told him it was Sean but people call me Jack and he said that I had a cute name. Then we both just went quiet for a few seconds but he was staring at me so I asked it there was something on my face and he said he was just enjoying my smile. Then he got up and paid for his drink but gave me a $5 tip. And before I could say anything he was gone" I replied all in one breath. "Can I see that 5 for a second." Felix said holding out his hand. I nodded and handed him the bill. He looked at it softly laughing and showing it to Signe. "That smooth fucker." She said smiling widely. "What?" I asked confused by their reactions to my money. "Look at it." Felix said handing it to me. Written on the bill in black ink were the words "You're cute! Call me (*his number*) I wanna see you smile some more ;)" Holy shit, is this fucking real! "Bro he's into you!" Felix said shaking my shoulders. I was still staring at the bill when he did. I smiled pulling out my phone and putting his number into it. All I know is that today turned out to be much more eventful than I anticipated. And working at this coffee shop just got a whole lot better.
