Kaiden and Sky dragged their feet to the bus stop. Breakfast started at seven, but, to their luck, the bus got to their stop at six-thirty every single day.
"Did you ever finish that history paper?" Sky overheard from another person's conversation. He was about to start freaking out. Maybe it was about time he actually started using his agenda.
"Paper? What paper?" Sky asked.
The female student turned around with a grin on her face. Laughter was threatening to burst through at the male's unfortunate situation. "The one that was assigned last week."
Before the blue haired teen could even open his mouth with an excuse, Kaiden growled, "Don't even blame me, deficiente. I reminded you at least three times last week to write your paper." The atmosphere seemed to drop in temperature.
"Sorry for not writing it. Don't need to get all snappy about it," Sky mumbled under his breath. He stayed silent most of the at until two familiar faces popped up at the next stop. "Oi, Kaiden."
"What do you want?" Kaiden out his iPad down. He caught a glimpse out the window. "Great, it's snowing again."
Sky punched his friend's arm. "Not that, idiot! Look again!" Trisha and June were waiting to board the bus.
"No, not today," Kaiden groaned, sinking into his seat. "The universe is too cruel! Why can't Glaucia be here?"
"Because she skis to school. Now hide!" Sky shoved his friend's head down as he pulled a beanie on, covering his faux blue hair. Reaching into his backpack, Sky pulled out a pair of nerd glasses and shoved them on his face. He looked completely different.
"Hold up!" Kaiden growled. A baseball cap was pulled out of his bag and tugged on his face with the visor pulled low on his face. He hood was pulled over for good measure. Anyone would mistake him for a thug at that point.
Sky then leaned against Kaiden's shoulder as if he had fallen asleep. "I don't think Trisha would be rude enough to wake up a tired, overworked student," he muttered under his breath. They both knew the disguises were enough to throw Trisha off. She was an idiot, and her partner seemed a bit slow.
"Ugh! I could have sworn I saw him!" The blonde stomped her for and sat in the closest seat to the door. Her partner sighed at her unnecessary frustration.
"Calm down. I hear already as a—" he was cut off halfway through his sentence.
"Partner!" Trisha screeched. "I know! It's that stupid, good-for-nothing Glaucia King! I hate her! She thinks she's so perfect and knows everything!" Kaiden cringed at her shrill, rash remarks.
"Just calm down," June mumbled, "Let it go."
. . .
Glaucia up her lab goggles back into her class's goggle bucket. "Now I'm going to smell like burned metals." Her class had been working with open flames, "Lucy is going to be mad." She marched through the hallway and stood outside her locker.
"What's that awful smell?" Lucy had a look of sheer disgust on her face.
"Metals." The Ice Queen grabbed a few things, "We were doing a lab." Her friend nodded, understanding. "When do we have to be at the rink?" Glaucia asked, checking her watch, "I left my skating stuff at home."
"Not for a while," Lucy sighed, "What do you want to do for lunch?"
Glaucia stood there, contemplating. "Well...I am craving waffles from the sugar waffle shack." They were amazing. A waffle was out in some sort of press and coated in sugary syrup as well cinnamon and other condiments.
