This is an elegy about the beginning of a rebellion in another land, during another war.

My friend, my friend, my very good friend

I watched her burn on the stake

The onlookers cried and so did I

And it was then that she made a mistake

The scream that marked her end.

Then two men took her away

And put her in the pit

Where the other corpses lay

They put her in a pit of flies and maggots

And didn't even stop to close her eyes.

So I went home to wallow in tears

I remember the times of joy and cheer

Of anger and relief that I'd spent with her

So I pray for the comfort

That will come with time.

But I'm not done yet

Not done yet

It's time to rise against my enemies and stop the war

Anger churns in my heart

I must avenge my sister.
