"Tori, wake up. We have to go with Chris." Sam whispers, shaking me gently. I groan and roll over, before getting out of bed slowly. I throw my hair into a messy bun and throw on shoes and a jacket. I grab a couple knives and a gun before running down the stairs quietly. I walk into the kitchen and grab a bottle of water. I take a large swig and head towards the front door, but freeze when I hear Allison.
"Dad? What's wrong, where are you going?" Allison questions, confusion in her voice. I curse under my breath and stay silent, hoping that she hadn't heard me open and close the fridge.
"Your Aunt Kate just called. She's having a little bit of car trouble." Chris lies smoothly.
"Is everything ok? It's nothing serious, right?" Allison asks worriedly. I bounce up and down on my toes, wanting her to just hurry up and go to bed so we can leave.
"Everything's fine, she just has a flat tire. Go back to bed." Chris says gently. I wait until I hear footsteps head up the stairs. I start to creep out of the kitchen, peeking my head around at the entryway.
"Psst! Chris, can I come out of the kitchen now?" I whisper. Chris chuckles and nods. I grin and walk into the entryway, bumping into Dean.
"Hey smallfry. Ready to go hunt some things?" Dean asks with a smile. I nod.
"And save some people." I add with a smile. Sam laughs and follows Chris out the door, Dean and I trailing behind them.

The Impala lurches to a stop and I groan as I'm thrown forward.
"Nice driving Dean." I complain as I rub my head.
"Oh hush. You can't even pull the car out of the driveway." Dean counters with a scoff. I pout, but follow my annoying brothers out of the car towards Chris and his sister.
"What, no hey how are you?" Kate asks with a frown as she looks between Chris and my brothers.
"Get in the car before someone comes to figure out why there was a huge gun shot in the middle of town." Chris says through gritted teeth. I roll my eyes and put my gun in my jacket pocket.
"So there's nothing here for us to hunt? Nothing at all?" I ask with a frown. I don't want to get lazy, because that's when the demons will come after me and then I'll end up dying. Kate laughs and shakes her head.
"There are plenty of things to hunt. I think there's two betas, not just one." Kate explains with a smirk.
"Are they both killers?" I ask, my eyes wide. Kate laughs.
"How about we ask them after they lead us to the alpha." Kate smirks.
"What do you mean?" Chris asks, the frustration in his voice clear.
"Let's just say I'd give the beta forty eight hours, if that." Kate says mysteriously. Dean lets out a deep breath.
"Ok, well that was frustratingly vague. Tori has school in the morning, so if we're done here, we're going to go back to the house." Dean says, looking between Chris and Kate. If they still need help, there's no way that we'll leave, Dean is too 'honorable' for that. But if they're just going to keep acting like kids, we'll definitely go home and sleep.
"We can go. Tori, don't mention this to Allison if you're tired in the morning. Okay?" Chris instructs, talking in a gentle, parenting tone. I scoff.
"I'm not a kid, Chris. I'm almost sixteen." I say, lifting my nose in the air. I don't want to be babied, I've never been treated like a little kid, and I don't want to start now.
"Okay." Chris sighs, walking towards his car. I follow Sam and Dean to the Impala, ready to climb back into bed. I yawn as I crawl into the backseat.
"Can I stay home tomorrow? I can act sick." I ask through a yawn. Dean nods as Sam shakes his head no.
"No, you have to stay there for Allison." Sam says. Dean laughs.
"It's high school Sam, I think she can leave Allison alone for one day. It's not like anything bad is going to happen just because Tori is at home sick." Dean scoffs, defending me. I grin and nod.
"Yeah Sam, why can't I stay home if I'm sick." I yawn. Sam shakes his head.
"Tori, you are not sick!" Sam exclaims in frustration. I laugh and lay my head on the window, shutting my eyes and floating into sleep.

I shot up in bed as a bloodcurdling scream echoed throughout the house. I jumped out of bed and ran across the hall towards the scream. I sighed in relief as I ran into the previously empty second guest room, noting that the scream was simply Allison greeting her Aunt. Because why should she say hi like a regular person?
"You scared the shit out of me." I say blatantly, interrupting Allison's conversation with Kate. I fake glared at Allison as she turned around, my arms crossed over my chest. Allison giggles, apparently I'm not as intimidating as I thought I was.
"Sorry Tori. This is my Aunt Kate, Aunt Kate this is Tori. Her brothers and her are staying with us for awhile. Dad knew their dad before he died." Allison explains with a soft smile. I raise my eyebrows and nod.
"Hi. I'm going to go back to bed." I say turning around, groaning when I feel a hand catch my arm.
"We have school Tori, you can't go back to bed." Allison protests. I frown.
"Dang. I was hoping that I had slept long enough so that it was Saturday. Are you sure it's not Saturday?" I ask pleadingly. Allison laughs and shakes her head.
"No, sorry. Are you riding with me today?" Allison asks in a hopeful voice. I bite my lip as I weigh my options. I could either ride with Sam and Dean and talk about finding the betas and their alpha, or I could ride with Allison and sing offkey to some pop songs on the radio.
"I'll ride with you, but only because I don't feel like dealing with Dean's questions. 'Are you going to see that boy again?' 'Did you like that boy?' 'Who are you texting?'" I mimic Dean. When we weren't concentrating on the impending doom of Beacon Hills, Dean was asking me about my blind date with Logan, even though I explained a million times that Logan was an ass that I never wanted to talk to again. Allison laughs and nods.
"I am so glad I don't have any brothers." Allison says with a sigh. I grin and shake my head.
"They may be annoying, but I know that they'll always be there for me." I admit with a smile before turning around and walking back into my room. I throw on a random outfit, knowing that Lydia will most likely not approve, but I didn't care. I pulled a brush through my hair roughly before throwing it up into a bun. Slipping my feet into my shoes, I grab my bag and sprint down the stairs. I walk into the kitchen and grab a pop tart and a bottle of water. I start shoving the pop tart into my face, chewing it happily.
"Hey kid." Dean says happily, walking into the kitchen and stuffing a bagel into his face. I laugh and wave.
"Hey, I'm riding with Allison today." I say, gulping down part of the bottle of water.
"Ok. I'm gonna head out today with Sam and check into Milton Heights. It's in Beacon County though, so it won't take too long. There's been some odd goings on at a hotel there, and Sam thinks it might be ghosts." Dean explains through bites of his bagel. I frown.
"You guys are going on a hunt without me?" I ask in confusion. We had been a team my whole life, and now they were leaving me so I could go to school. I may not like hunting sometimes, but it's all I've ever known.
"You have to go to school Tori, you know why." Dean says, glancing behind me as footsteps thud down the stairs.
"Fine." I snap, throwing my trash in the trash can and stomping out of the kitchen. I sigh as I see Allison standing by the front door, her eyebrows scrunched together.
"Are you ok Tori?" She asks as I walk towards her. I shake my head.
"Just a fight with my brother. Are we leaving?" I ask shortly, my arms crossed over my chest. Allison nods.
"Yeah let's go. I have to tell you something." Allison whispers the last part of her sentence, concern flooding her face before she grabbed her keys and headed outside. I sighed and followed her out to her blue Mazda. It wasn't the classic car I was used to, but maybe it was time for some change.
"So what's bothering you Ally?" I ask buckling my seatbelt. Allison sighs as she pulls the car out of the driveway.
"I think my family is lying to me." Allison says plainly with a deep sigh. I feel the blood rush out of my face, and my heartbeat starts pounding in my ears.
"What do you mean?" I ask, miraculously keeping my voice from shaking. Allison sighs and shakes her head.
"It's just little things. Like last night, my dad left to pick up my Aunt Kate. He said that she had a flat tire, but when I talked to Kate this morning she said that she needed a jumpstart." Allison explains, a sad look on her face.
"Maybe it's just a misunderstanding. One time Dean told my dad that Sam was picking me up, but then it turned out that Sam was at his girlfriend's house and no one picked me up." I said in an attempt to make her feel better.
"Maybe you're right." Allison says, but I can tell that she doesn't believe it. I shake my head, utterly done with the whole situation. I wasn't used to lying to someone that I cared about.
"I'll help you figure out what it is." I say, the words flowing out of my mouth before I could stop myself. Allison smiles softly.
"Really?" She asks, sounding unsure. I nod.
"You're one of my best friends Ally, and if you think that something is wrong then maybe it is. If it is, I'll help you find out what it is. And if nothing is wrong, then your mind will be at ease." I say, hoping that when she did find out Chris wouldn't kill me.
"Thanks Tori. You're a good friend." Allison sighs, a smile on her face as we pull into a parking spot. I sigh as I get out of the car. Yeah, a good friend who has been lying to her since I got to town.****
