"I'm Logan. I'm assuming you're Tori?" Logan says in a questioning voice. I nod and give Logan a short smile.
"Hi Logan." I reply, walking towards the ball racks. I glance over the balls, looking at the numbers and colors on them. I pick up a black ball and nearly drop it on my foot. With a groan, I lift the ball back onto the rack. I glance over the balls again and pick up a light blue one. This time, the weight seems perfect. I grin and whirl around, running into a solid chest.
"We can't run into each other like this. People will talk." Logan says smoothly with a smirk. I roll my eyes.
"Well don't worry, I'll make sure to stay far away from you tonight." I retort, turning around and walking to our lane.
"How do you like Logan?" Allison asks with a small smile as I set my ball down beside hers.
"He's a creep and I don't like him." I reply with a pout.
"I'm sorry. Maybe next time I can set you up with Stiles." Allison suggest with a smile. I scrunch my face in confusion. Stiles?
"What the hell is a Stiles?" I ask in confusion. Allison laughs.
"Stiles is my best friend. He loves Star Wars and Batman and superheroes and anything magical." Scott interrupts, coming up behind Allison. I wrinkle my nose.
"That sounds interesting, but no thank you. I didn't come to this town to date." I say, crossing my arms. Scott sighs, and Allison laughs.
"Ok! Time to bowl! I'm first." Lydia calls, skipping to the lane. I roll my eyes and sit on one of the uncomfortable benches. I laugh as Jackson walks up behind Lydia and "helps her bowl," but unfortunately the ball goes into the gutter. Jackson smiles at her anyway and Lydia walks back over to the rest of use and flounces down onto her seat.
"Good try Lydia." Logan says with a smile. Lydia smirks and flips her hair over her shoulder. I shake my head and look over just as Jackson gets a strike. I nod, expecting nothing less from the "star" lacrosse player.
"You're up Tori!" Lydia chirps. I sigh and get up, walking over to the lane.
"I could help you." Logan offers from his seat. I shake my head.
"I think I've got it." I reply shortly, picking up the ball. I take in a deep breath and bring my arm back, rolling the ball down the lane at a slight curve. I grin widely as I see every pin fall down. I turn around and smile at the shocked teenagers. I make a gun with my fingers and pretend to blow the smoke off of it, before "putting it in it's holster." Allison laughs and shakes her head.
"Where did you learn to bowl like that?" Lydia asks with a smile as I sit down. I grin.
"I have two older brothers, you learn a few things." I reply, crossing my arms.
"I bet I know a few things that your brothers couldn't teach you." Logan smirks, leaning closer to me.
"I bet my brothers taught me how to kick the ass of a guy like you who only wants to get into my pants." I reply, rolling my eyes. Scott laughs, then coughs to cover it.
"I'm getting the feeling that I'm not really welcome here." Logan says with a pout, in I'm assuming an attempt to look vulnerable.
"Not really. I don't want you here, and Allison and Lydia already have dates. Plus I don't think you're Scott's type. Jackson, on the other hand, would love anyone that could help boost his enormous ego." I say standing up. "I'm gonna go get a snack and make sure Sam and Dean haven't tried to get ahold of me." I tell Allison, walking away from the group. I walk up to the snack counter and sit on one of the barstools, grabbing my phone and dialed Sam's number.
"What's wrong? Did something happen?" Sam asks as he picks up immediately.
"No, my date is just an ass and I hate bowling." I reply with a sigh.
"I'm sorry Tori. I know you hate it, but you have to keep an eye on you know who. Especially since she's not supposed to be out of the house." Sam whispers the last part and I laugh.
"Are you guys still out with Chris?" I ask laughing. Sam groans.
"Yes, and I have to go. We're about to go warn one of the Hales. I didn't even realize there were any living Hales in this town." Sam mutters as he gets lost in thought.
"Fine. Bye Sammy." I say, hanging up before Sam can say bye. I order a soda and sit back against the counter, watching the rest of the group bowl. I smirk when, after numerous failed attempts, Scott manages to score one strike after another. I laugh when Lydia stands up and turns Jackson away, and manages to score a strike. I sigh in relief as they stand up and walk towards the shoe counter, returning the rentals. I hop off the stool and walk over to Allison, ignoring Logan's attempts to make me stop and talk to him.
"Hey, you missed the rest of the game. Scott won! He got eight strikes in a row. It was amazing!" Allison gushes. I smile until I notice Lydia rolling her eyes.
"I'll let you go tell Scott goodnight, I'm sure you want a few minutes alone with him." I say with a smile. Allison nods and walks away. I watch her for a minute before turning back around and sighing. "Ok Lydia, I've only known you for two days but I know how to read people. Something's bothering you, what is it?" I ask with a frown.
"You wouldn't understand. Allison said that this is the first time you've ever gone to public school." Lydia says with a sigh.
"Yet I still get that you're the most popular girl and Jackson is the most popular guy. You guys are a power couple, but something seems off. Maybe it's the fact that you're tired of having to repress how smart you actually are. Or maybe it's the fact that Jackson has a crush on the new girl, aka Allison, because of her innocence and naivety." I say, crossing my arms. Lydia's face flushes a deep pink and she narrows her eyes.
"You're right. Am I really that opaque? Or are you just really good at reading people?" Lydia asks, her lip quivering.
"I'm just good at knowing when people need someone to talk to, and I just wanted you to know that I'm here for you. I know that you and Allison are friends, but you can't really talk to her about Jackson having a huge crush on her." I say with a tight smile.
"It's not a huge crush! But.... thank you, Tori. I really need someone like you in my life. Someone I don't have to pretend around." Lydia says, wiping her teary eyes. I nod, then hug her gently.
"Hugs aren't really my thing though, so don't get used to this." I say with a short laugh.
"Noted." Lydia laughs.
"Are you ready? We should probably get going if we want to sneak in. My dad usually comes and checks in on me at 10 before he goes to sleep." Allison says, with a small smile. I sigh.
"Sure. Lydia, could you drive us? I don't want to get you in trouble with your parents-" I start, until Lydia shakes her head.
"Don't worry. Dad's off with his new girlfriend in Los Angeles, and Mom is drinking it up three towns over. I'm home alone tonight." Lydia says flippantly.
"Did you want me to stay at your place so you don't have to be alone?" I ask, worried for my new friend. Lydia shakes her head.
"Not tonight, I don't want you to get in trouble with your brothers. Maybe another time though." Lydia replies with a small smile. I nod and follow Lydia out to her car, Allison trailing behind us as she shoots longing looks at Scott. This teen romance thing was going to drive me back to cheap motels and demon hunting, I swear.

"I promise I'll visit Tori. I'll call you every day, ok?" Sam says with a small smile. I feel my lip begin to quiver and I take in a deep breath.
"I don't know why you have to leave Sammy. It's not that bad. We've gotten to see lots of places that normal kids don't get to see." I say with a pout. Sam sighs and shakes his head.
"I know, but I don't want this anymore. I want a semi-normal life. I want to go to college and get a normal job and fall in love and have a family." Sam rants with a sigh. I feel tears start to fall down my face, and I shake my head, trying to stop myself from crying.
"You have a family Sam. Dad, and Dean, and me. We are your family, and you're leaving us." I spit out, jumping up and running out of the room, ignoring Sam's calls for me to come back. I don't care about his feelings right now, he's leaving me and he promised that he would never leave me.
