You Stole My Heart

You've stolen my heart

Taken it captive

I can't get it back

I thought the walls around my heart were strong and secure

I thought nobody could break through

Until I met you

I tried to protect my heart

So fragile is my heart

Without the walls it could shatter

Into a million pieces

It has happened before

How could it not this time?

You fought for my heart

I fought back

A warrior protecting the prize

My heart

You gave me yours

With no fight

Trusting me to catch you

Because you have fallen

With three magic words

The walls around my heart

Melted

You want to know what they were?

I love you

Now my heart

Belongs to you

Keep it tucked away

Safe from hate

I'll do the same
