It's been 3 years since Ryllis was kidnapped and up above in the branches of a Willow, a ravenboy paces around on a branch.3 years Ryllis, 3 bloody years. Where the hell are you?
All of the poor boy's thoughts muddle around in his head. But just as he was about to throw all his belongings out the entrance he heard an all too familiar sound. The sound of a piano. It's melody drifting up towards the Willow leaves and out into the world. That one sound that was so familiar.I swear, I've heard that before, he says to himself. Come on Xavier, THINK! he says as he forces his brain to process the noise quickly. And then it just clicked. AMARYLLIS!! oh my fuckin faeries, I knew that you're still alive. He couldn't help the little dance he did. Fist bumping the air and grinning like a cheshire until another thought crossed through his mind. It can't be her. It's just a coincidence that the tune is the same as Rylli's. I mean it's been bloody 3 years for fuck-sake. And his fist bumping stopped pumping air and instead created a wide crack running up the Willow trunk. Connecting upwards with all the other multiple cracks that ran up the trunk wall.
Ever since that bloody and gruesome night, Xavier has been on the edge. For the first few months he spent hours searching for her, for princess Amaryllis. He couldn't sleep or eat or do anything that he usually does. He just couldn't stop thinking about Ryllis. Where she was, if she was alright, and the question that haunted him the most, was she even alive? An angry growl erupted from his throat and he had to restrain himself from adding another string to the growing spider web of cracks and crevices on the wall.
He could still recall the screaming of the guests present, the sound of materials ripping and the smell of smoke and blood mixed together. One minute he and Ryllis were hiding underneath a table and the next Ryllis was screaming and he was being held back. That was the moment when he first encountered true fear. Raw and nerve wrecking fear. He remembers struggling and the feeling of bones cracking beneath his knuckles. He remembers fighting back, fighting for Ryllis. That was until he had more than a dozen men on top.
Struggling against their grips he growled and cursed them hoping that they would stop and release him. He kept fighting until he some how slipped from their grasp. Up he went and sprinted to the guy who was gripping Ryllis and dragging her away. He felt satisfied once the guy was sent sprawling on the ground and Ryllis was back in his arms. But that was short lived because a dozen more men jumped them and pulled them apart.
"XAVIER!" he could definitely remember the fear and splints of anger cross her eyes. "XAVIER" her voice was cracking as she kept calling him, desperation and some other emotion that he couldn't identify was laced in her voice. If she wasn't screaming his name in a scared tone he could've easily swept her away, but since she was and also the fact that he had a couple dozen men on top of him, he couldn't do it. In fact he could barely move. "XAVIER!!!"
Xavier jumped and glared at the unwelcomed guest. "You really seemed out of it" the intruder said cockily. All Xavier could do was glare and try, key word try, to stop his inner beast from lashing out. "Really Cap? I mean really!?" he replied as he started to rub his temple. The intruder or Cap just chuckled before stepping into the spacious work place. "Well X, if you had paid attention to the first time I called your name then I wouldn't be labelled as a intruder" Cap replied with ease as he flexed his wings. "Wow, do you know how cramped your wings get when you fly from Main-tree to here?" Cap asked as he rolled hi shoulders. Xavier opened his mouth to answer "No shi-" "Wait a minute, you don't know because you haven't flown outside since faeries could fly" Cap said then gave a small but still visible smirk. "Cap, I have been outside and I obviously still remember how to fly, you annoying piece of crow shi-" Cap quickly flew over shoved a wing in his mouth. Just in time too because in flew Rain.
Oh flapping fantail, Xavier immediately pushed Cap away and began spluttering feathers out of his mouth. "And just when I thought it couldn't get any better" Xander mumbled while spitting feathers out. "Xavier, we need to talk" Rain said in his booming voice. "Well no shit Sherlock" Xavier retorted bitterly. Cap gave him a glance and asked confusingly "Who's Sherlock?" Xavier had to internally facepalm himself. He was still trying to get over what Cap said when Rain said those three words.
"We found her"
