“So what toppings are we getting?” Gavin asked.

“Cheese” Sabrina and I said at the same time.

“Ham and pineapple” Zara said.

“Sausage” Noah and Nick said.

“Okay, got it” Gavin said.

We got up to the counter and Gavin ordered. “Hi can I get two medium pizzas? One half cheese half ham and pineapple. And the other half sausage and half meat lovers” he said.

“Okay, that will be seventeen dollars and ninety three cents.” The lady working the counter said. Gavin got out a couple bucks and everyone chipped in to make the total. The lady came back a minute later with our pizzas and took the money, putting it in the cash register. Noah carried the pizzas to a table and we all sat down to eat them. Sabrina and I attacked the cheese pizza while the guys attacked the all meat pizza and Zara took a slice of her ham and pineapple. It was so good, they put on just enough sauce unlike most places where they either didn’t put any on or they put so much on that it fell out before you even took a bite.

“This is so good” Sabrina said as she took another huge bite. These people completely dismissed the stereotype of cool. They weren’t mean, they all ate, they weren’t superficial, they weren’t constantly high and none of them were cheerleaders. I loved it here.

“So, everyone keep your schedules open on Friday, none of you are missing my party this time” Gavin told us.

“Who missed it last time?” I asked.

“Zara, Ashlyn and Noah. Zara and Ashlyn’s parents had dragged them to their Aunts for the weekend and Noah, well we didn’t really know Noah then.”

“Yeah, I was with my old friends.” Noah said.

“Who were your old friends?” I asked since I was really out of every loop here.

“The stoners” Noah said sheepishly. Well at least he isn’t on drugs anymore.

“Ew, I’m sorry but that’s kinda gross…” I told him.

“Yes it was.” Zara agreed with me. I would honestly pay to see how the two of them got together.

“Well at least you aren’t on drugs anymore.” I told him.

“Yup, clean since Zara and I started going out.”

“Congrats.”

“Thanks” he said.

“So none of you guys have plans on Friday right?” Gavin asked again, just to make sure.

“Nope” we all said.

“Good, cause I’m dragging you guys there whether you have plans or not.” He said, just to reinforce the importance of this party.

“Yeah and this time they’d better not show up” Sabrina said and her face darkened.

“Yeah, they’d better not show up, they aren’t even invited.” Nick said.

“If they come; hell is gonna break loose.” Zara said.

“Umm, who is ‘they’?” I couldn’t help but ask them.

“The group of freaks. A.k.a. Clark, Jasper, Miles, Viola and Christian.” Nick explained to me.

“Hey, isn’t Christian in our English class?” I asked them.

“Yeah, and so is Viola. They both sit at the back because no one wants to sit with them.” Sabrina told me.
