This is the final chapter! I hope you enjoyed, and at some point I will edit it and make it better, more realistic, and will expand on the better parts with The Freaks and develop the characters more etc. etc. cause I now have a lot of great ideas but they are going to require a lot of work and I do not have the time right now. So, I hope you enjoyed!
Also, if you want me to like contact you when I edit it/re-do the whole thing, comment that down below and I'll make sure I do (if you care enough about this 6/10 story....)
The whole next day I couldn't focus. I was constantly checking the clock while the minute hand inched closer to eleven o'clock. I actually went to practice that night which took my mind off the meeting momentarily but at five I was back to focusing all my energy on it.
When I got home Miranda already had dinner ready and was in a really good mood so she decided we should go get out nails done. I tried to explain that they would get ruined due to practice but she wasn't having any of it and besides, maybe the manicurist would be able to distract me for another hour.
So we went to the closest salon and got manicures and pedicures. I was grateful I got a manicurist that was open to talking so we talked about her kids and husband while my feet were soaked and painted.
When we got out of there it was seven and I still had four hours to spare. Well, three if you count the fact that I was being picked up at ten so Christian could drive me to Kyler's house and it seemed like an insane amount of time.
I tried putting a movie on to distract me, but neither that nor music or even homework distracted me. Finally I gave up and called Christian.
"I'm freaking out" I said when he picked up the phone.
"Why?" he asked. He seemed strangely calm seeing as we were about to break into someone's mansion. Someone who probably had the best security system money could buy. Oh, the security system, why didn't I think of that?
"Because now that we're hours away from doing it, I keep thinking of complications that my idiotic brain didn't remind me of before" I tell him.
"Like what?" He asks.
"Like a security system" I says.
"Don't worry. If they have one all you have to do is imagine it shutting off and it will. We all will together, we can handle anything this guy throws at us." He said, trying to reassure me.
"Yeah" I said and took a deep breath. "You're right, I'm just freaking out for no reason. I should really calm down." I took more deep breaths and felt my breathing come back under control. Now onto my heart beat.
"Sky, calm down, everything will be fine" Christian says and I nod, forgetting he can't see me.
"Do you want me to pick you up now?" he asks and I look at the clock which reads nine thirty.
"Sure" I say.
"Okay, I'll be there in twenty" he says then hangs up. I go downstairs to tell Miranda my plans have changed. She thinks I'm sleeping over at Viola's and she's picking me up after her shift.
"Hey Miranda" I call out.
"Yeah" she says.
"Viola got off early so she'll be here in twenty minutes" I say.
"Alright, have fun" Miranda calls back and then I hear her unmute the TV.
I go back into my room and change into all black clothes, put my hair up in a braided bun and tie up my sneakers.
When I change I catch a glimpse of my tattoo and debate on taking my power out of the ink but decide against it. There will be six of us there, that's more than enough power.
