Chapter 6: Leaving So Soon?

*Miley's POV*

The next day I woke up and my mind was racing with thoughts. How he took me home last night and walked me to my door and kissed my cheek and how Ryder, my little brother, saw us about to kiss but I pulled away and why did I do that I really like Liam and I know I've only known him for about 4 days but I think I'm starting to fall for him. But last night at dinner he said he might have to leave. Oh my gosh what if he leaves forever? Well he'll have to leave forever starting someday.

I've decided to not let myself fall in love with him. I know he'll have to leave one day so why waste my time with him? He's a customer wanting to learn how to surf while he's on vacation in Hawaii. No Miley. This is strictly business. Not a relationship. You can't fall for him.

A couple hours later I was sitting on the dock in front of my house looking out at the waves and thinking about my mom. I don't know how my mind drifted to her it just did. Like it always does. How she had such pretty brown eyes. I called them root beer eyes because they looked like root beer. How she would always let me and Ryder sleep with her if there was a storm. How she taught me to surf. What good memories I had with her, I just wish she was still with me.

I had returned to the shop when the sun started to go down at about 7. I was thinking about Liam when he just happened to walk into my shop to see me waxing my brothers board.

"Hello there Miley."

"Hi Liam. How was your day?"

"Awesome, but I have some bad news." There was a pause of silence before he kept on, "Miley I have to go back home for a week."

"Well ok. I hope you have fun! Don't forget what I taught you though, we still have lots to work on when you get back! You are coming back right?"

Liam had a confused expression as I said what I did. It took me so much courage to not break down crying over someone I had just met 4 days ago saying he was leaving. "Oh and thank you for last night! I had a fantastic time making fun of bitches with you!"

I did not want him to leave. I think I was falling for him. Hard and fast. I couldn't let myself do this so before he could say anything else, I pretended my phone was ringing and walked out of the shop.

*LIAMS POV*

She took that well... Better than I thought she would. Se seemed so almost relieved that I was leaving. I didnt want to leave her but I had to. Although Miley didnt seem to care because she just walked out of the shop we were talking in and left me standing here. I am falling for this girl. I wonder if she feels the same? Why was management so stupid. Why couldn't I just grab this girl when I had the chance. But she doesn't seem interested.

Guess ill find out when I get back. I'm excited to see the lads though!
