A poem dedicated to the person who inspired me to sing

I used to have no voice before I saw and watched you,
In your video that landed on my recommendations list out of the blue
You were with another stranger named Sam singing about something being a dream
I watched more videos of yours and noticed how in every one of them you beam

Of happiness and joy, you suddenly became my inspiration
The inspiration slowly turned into admiration
You taught me not to give up on what I love
No matter how many haters, that I should always look above

Above where The Lord is, You taught me to always pray
And to always keep my chin up high, no matter what they say
You've taught me so much, and I wish I could've met you
And I wish I could've heard you sing live the song "Think of You"

You didn't deserve what had been done
They could've at least given you a choice to run
But The Lord works in mysterious ways
"I need her as one my angels" he says

I hope you're happy and singing wherever you are
Forever in our hearts, you won't be far
We love you, Christina Grimmie
