“E-Excuse me!” You try to push through the crowd with what strength left that you could gather, but to no avail. The crowd of students ignores your plea— on second thought, they probably don't even notice you being there at all.
In a moment of desperation, you jump in an attempt to see passed the heads of your schoolmates, but fail. You cursed at your short stature— that oddly enough, in your entire family, only you seemed to possess. Where was your freakishly tall cousin when you needed him? You felt light headed as the sun glared down at you harshly. Your anemia was acting up again.
A loud mouth student beside you, growing impatient, charged into the crowd and knocked you over in the process. You didn't have the energy left to keep yourself from stumbling backwards. Reflexively, you close your eyes, but the pain never came. You cracked open an eyelid to see the face of the red headed boy who had stopped your fall.
Blood rushes to your cheeks and you feel your heart skip a beat.
