The Next Day...

"You know it's just so stressful being around him. Because he's whiny about how difficult interaction can be and it's all his fault! I do love him don't get me wrong." Amethyst explained to Alistair in his office at the school as she put marked papers into poly pockets for him. "It's just...difficult."

"Kylo... this might be hard to accept. He needs to grow up a little bit. He can be quite self involved sometimes. For example... Hux asked to borrow a pen to sign a cheque to give to Kylo... and what did Kylo do? He said... you can't use my pen it's my favourite pen."

"Seriously. He's such an idiot. Can I walk you to your classroom. I can help you with the boxes."

"Sure." Alistair said.

"I mean the whole time I've known you... you got jealous once. Because you thought Hux and Rey..."

"It was stupid of me." Alistair said.

"But you had reason to believe. Kylo actually thinks I'm having an affair with Rey."

"He can't get cross at you for that. You and Rey are a package. I married you when I married her. And in a creepy incestual way Kylo has to realise he married Rey when he married you. You're like the same person split into two different but conjoined people."

"Thank you for the uncomfortable image of my husband and Rey" Amethyst smiled "I understand what you're saying though. It does help."

"Yeah. I've made myself uncomfortable now. Usually if I imagine her having sex with someone other than me it's..."

"Please say Hux and not me." Amethyst interrupted.

"Don't worry I was." Alistair laughed. "I don't see you with anyone besides Kylo."

"Me neither." Amethyst nodded. Alistair unlocked his classroom door. Amethyst put the box into his desk. "Well you have somewhere to be with Rey, right?"

"Ah yes." He nodded.

"And I'm going to make sure Kylo doesn't burn down the house"

"But he can cook"

"He'll figure out a way to accidentally burn down the house."

"Temper Tantrum. Am I right?" Alistair asked.

"Yeah. Happy Birthday by the way."

"Thank you Amethyst." Alistair smiled.

Rey stood outside the door at the event hall, waiting to be let in. "I've never actually been here." Alistair said and smiled as Rey held a box she wouldn't allow him to carry despite insisting that he join her.

"Well you will be here now." Rey said. "You look nice today by the way."

"Just because it's my birthday doesn't mean you have to play down my good looks."

Rey chuckled and the door opened. It was Hux. "Oh hey you two."

"Why did you have that door locked?" Alistair asked.

"Let's just go in." Rey said and barged in.

"Hey Alistair." Hux said and grinned at him weirdly.

Alistair blinked and walked into the event hall for everyone he knew in the town to yell surprise.

"Yay! It's a surprise and it's a party and it's for you." Rey said. "And in the box is your cake. So I'm going to go take this away."

"Oh would you look at that?" Alistair said.

"Hey Alistair." Amethyst said and approached him. Kylo immediately half ran half walked from his mother over to Amethyst.

"Stay away from my wife. You have yours. Just because mine is better..." Kylo said and grabbed Amethyst's arm.

"So now you've had your first surprise for this month. I suspect one more week until you get another one." Hux said as he approached Alistair.

"What a christmas day surprise party?"

"Hux ummm...." Rey said and shook her head.

Amethyst did the same thing. "Excuse me." Rey and Amethyst said at the same time and dragged Hux away.

"Why have you gotta be trying to steal my girl!" Kylo asked Alistair.

"I'm not trying to steal her calm down. She's trying to steal me."

"I don't care if it is your birthday party or what not... I will hit you."

"Insecurities aren't only brought upon the people who are cheated on. The cheaters get them too. I stuck my neck out for you to get back with her and to get on the track of repairing your relationship. And now you're kind of screwing up!"

"I hugged you. How could you do this?"

"How could you even cheat on Amethyst?"

"You seem more pissed at it than me!"

"Amethyst is a friend! I married her when I married Rey so I gotta look out for her too. That's the way it works! If you don't understand that then you don't know your wife at all! But you better start treating her better! Or I'll hit you now! You might be taller but I know things."

"Oh do you? Do you huh?" Kylo challenged

"What are you two arguing about?" Leia asked.

"Nothing Mrs Organa" Alistair smiled. "What a lovely party hmm?"

"Don't bullshit me Alistair! Tell me what's happening."

"Well Kylo threatened to hit me."

"He's trying to steal my wife." Kylo said.

"Oh please!" Leia replied. "He did that a long time ago."

"You see!" Kylo said.

"Grow up Ben!" Leia said.

"Kylo, mother! Kylo!" Kylo shouted.

"Well I'm going to go get a cocktail. Perhaps I can get you some pills to quell your anger."

"Perhaps you should move out."

"Perhaps you should. No one likes you."

Kylo gritted his teeth at that before storming away.

"You know I have to say. I like that this party has mistletoe." Alistair said. "Then again it's close to Christmas."

Leia rolled her eyes and walked to Han, Luke, and Lando.

"You know I don't remember the last time we had a party here." Luke said to Leia.

"I do: it was my party for my 18th." Leia said.

"You mean our party. We are twins!" Like said.

"Then why am I so beautiful and you're so not?" asked Leia.

Han smirked. "Because no one is as beautiful as you Leia."

"Don't." Leia said to him.
