The lone wolf

Chapter one

-16 Years Later-

                Athena, Athena, wake up your gonna be late for your first day of school. I heard my mom yell from all the way down stairs. I'm coming I yelled back quickly. I ran down the stairs and my mom stared at me with a gently but angry smile, your going to be late for your first day of high school she said quietly. I know mom and I'm very sorry but I woke up late, now who's fault was that you should of went to bed on time. I rolled my eyes and said I'm sorry. I grabbed my breakfast and my car keys. Your probable wondering how can she drive she's probable 15, well my mom started me late in the school year and now I'm 16, and I'm aloud to have my license. I started up the car and I waved goodbye to my mom. When I got to school I best friend Taylor was there waiting for me, Taylor is a little cute but I think of him as a brother, when I walked up to him, Noah came up and gave me a hug, and then he gave Taylor a dap. I rolled my eyes and looked at the two of them, they looked back at me and smiled. Are you read for this school year sis Noah said putting his arm around my neck. I looked at him and said no in a snark voice, he chucked and said it'll be fine, and walked away. I walked up and sat next to Taylor on his car, is everything okay, I asked politely. He looked at me and smiled, I don't know he said, I'm just curious I guess. I chucked and said you curious since when, he smiled and said whatever.

          I walked into my first period and sat down in the first row, all the way in the back. I took my book out of my bag and I sat there patiently and waited, one by one kids came walking in. Then at last my teacher walked into the class room and politely said good morning. Sounding like firing gooses we all replayed good morning. While trying to take notes I caught a quick glimpsed of this guy staring at me, he was cute but not my type, I quickly returned to my notes focusing on my teacher I saw his staring at me again. The bell had rang, I waited for every one to stand up and then I began packing up my bag. I walked out the class room and when to second period the rest of the day went by fast, it wasn't that bad I thought to myself. I looked up and smiled, I saw Taylor leaning up against my car he smiled back, and said hey can you give me a ride home, I frowned at him and said I can't, then I smiled, and told him, "you actually believed me, you know I don't have friends". He smiled and hopped into my car. I didn't really like going into Taylor's neighborhood, it always felt unsafe. We pulled up I front of Taylor's house, he gave me a gentle smile, then he opened his door and got out of the car.

While driving home, I heard my phone ring, I looked down to answer, I look back up and swerved out of the way, and I flew into the forest....

             When I stopped, my car was rapped around a tree. I sat there and thought to myself, "what was that", I grumbled and got out of the car. I paused and I was hoping what I was seeing wasn't real. I stayed still for a minutes, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I wanted to run but I was afraid it would follow me, I couldn't believe there was a wolf in front of me, I have never been more afraid in my life.

              I stared into its golden eyes, it looked away from my gaze, it was all black and it was huge. It turned and walked away. Sighing in a breath of relief I took my phone and called my mom hoping she wouldn't get mad, she answered and I told her how there was something in the middle of the road and I had to swerve out of it, but she wasn't really angry, but she was worried, she kept asking if I was okay, I told her "yes". I'm on my way right know tell me where you are, I'm on Eastwood, "okay", after we hung up, I sat in the forest and  waited for my mom, she took a while, but she got there, and so did the police and a tow truck. She hugged me and asked if I was okay again after she made sure I was fine she went to talk to the police, sitting in her car I looked out the window and saw a shadow. Before I could get a better look it was gone. My mom drove home we were quite the entire way, until she broke the silences, and asked if I wanted to go out for dinner. I nodded and said ok.

After dinner we went home and I hopped into the shower, I had never really appreciated how good it felt to be clean. When I was finished I wrapped a towel around my body and walked into my room, I rummaged throw my drawer and pulled out some cute little pjs, and fell asleep.....
