Chapter 4 The dreaded maths

Maths...

Worst lesson,worst teacher it's awful.

The girls sat quietly while Mr Lerry shouted at the whole class for getting a supposedly easy question wrong. He was so mean, he shouted at everyone for no good reason! They all were quiet and carried on with their work. Leia daydreamed about her prom dress and how she will look on the night and what her date would be like... Suddenly the bell rang for the end of the lesson. Had she really been daydreaming for that long, she couldn't believe it was the end of the lesson already! She grabbed her things and put them in her bag, slung it on her shoulder and waited until he said they could go.

"MISS COLLINS, COME BACK HERE NOW I NEED TO TALK TOO YOU!" He shouted so loud that she could now be permanently deaf. It shocked her so much that she fell of her chair and onto the dirty floor. Every body turned around and laughed at her,she was so embarrassed! A swarm of butterfly's flew into her stomach as she got up to walk towards him."Show me what you have done this lesson please"he said calmly,she got her maths book out of her bag and opened it up to today's page. Mr Lerry looked at it and said"where is all your work?,the fractions ,the equations,what have you been doing all lesson?"

"Well...errrrmmm... I was distracted" Leia said.

"By what?" Mr Lerry questioned

"By erm the people outside"she answered

"What people outside?" He asked

"The grass cutters,yes, the lawn mower was very loud so I couldn't concentrate on any of my work" she said back

"So they were cutting the lawn for an hour were they?"

"I think so, well we do have a very big field sir" she pointed out to him

"Well I'm not letting you get away from this little missy so I want you to do this work in your own spare time at home."

"Ok sir" she said unhappily

"Now here is your text book with the questions in it,and it want it done by Wednesday ok?"

"Yes sir will do" she walked out the classroom door to find Beth and Becca waiting for her.

"What was all that about" Beth wondered.

"Oh nothing,it's just about some work"Leia said.

"Oh lol"she said back

"Right then you two,do you want to go to lunch?" Rebecca said

"Of coarse we do!" The others said together

"I'm ravenous"said Beth.

"Let's go then!" Then they all headed to get some scrummy lunch!
