A night to remember

Chapter 6 Science

They waited outside their science room as there was no teacher in sight and waited for someone to come. After 5 minutes this small munchkin like man came to the door. Where he said, "Come on lady's and gents in you come"he said with a squeaky voice like a mouse.

So they went in as he ordered and sat down in their places on their small,uncomfortable wooden stools,they then got out their pencil cases,books and planners like they do every lesson.

"Right class today we will be learning about volcanoes and how they errupt." he said exitedly             "Wahoo" they all screamed sarcastically                                                                                                     "And we will also be building a small version of a volcano that we will make errupt with coke and mentos!" now they were actually excited about this lesson.                                                                    

"I am going to put you into groups of three, so leia you go with (boasty)Billy and (pampered)Poppy.     "Oh dear". Thats all she had to say about that, anyway they all got asigned a group and went to get the equipment they had to use,paper mache,paint,a balloon and obvioully coke and mentos but that was afterwards.  

"You have only got one lesson to complete this" he said "But dont rush it."he informed them. So they got to work making their volcano. Billy started to paper mashe the ballon to make the top,Poppy was fretting as she broke her nail and Leia was just sat on her stool secretly on facebook. She thought this lesson was going to be fun,but she was wrong she wasnt even doing anything,the only thing she was doing was being bored! once Billy had finally finished paper macheing the balloon and it was partly dry so Leia decided she was going to actually do something. She got the paints out and decided she was going to paint the volcano different colours like red,orange and yellow to look like the lava pouring  out of the top. Leia carefully picked up the paintbrush and dabbed it into the fiery red paint. Then she neatly started painting on her design. Finallly the design was finished as she had painted all three colours on and now she was just waiting for it to dry as she suddenly was shocked by the voice of the munchkin like man saying they had exactly 3 minuites left to finish making the volcano.

Poppy had eventually got over her broken nail and started to do the finishing touches on the volcano. Saying that the group didnt actually like each other the final piece turned out surprisingly good!

"Time is up guys and galls"shouted the teacher "All come and put your volcanoes on the desk at the front" he said. So thats exactly what each group did. When they were all on the desk he explained what he was going to do. the whole class took a big step back and watched in amazement. Munchkin man poured in the coke and took a big breath as did the class. Out of his pocket he brought 3 packs of minty mentos, he opened them and quickly dropped them in then he also stepped back out of the way. There was a long pause. But then it happened. Bang! everyone screamed and ran around like a chicken without a head. As all the bubbbles had died down they could see what the damage was.

The desks,floor, all the electrical equipment and funniest of all, the students were covered in fizzy coke. Two other teachers from neighbouring classrooms rushed in to see what all the noise was about. As they ran in, the look on their faces was just shock horror. They sent all the students out and into the toilets to get cleaned up whilst they helped clean the classroom. Leia found Beth and Becca in the toilets and they just chatted about what had just happened. About 20 minuites later when they should be in their next lesson but were still in the toilets Miss Parker came in after they had cleaned up the classroom and informed them all that they could have the rest of the day off. They were all jumping with excitement. "This should happen more often!" Beth said. The other two agreed, then they went to their small lockers to get their wooly coats out and left for the day. 

One day closer to the prom but they hadnt organised anything whoops!!!!
