I found myself in the living room at 1:23am, looking down at Nathan's sleeping figure.

I lightly sat next to his sleeping figure, brushing hair out of his closed eyes.

"What did I ever do to deserve you?" I whispered to myself, and he didn't stir at my touch.

He's to good for me.

I thought, and I frowned, kissing his forehead.

"You're too good, you know that? You're amazing, and nice and kind, I just don't know why you're still dealing with me." My voice was soft, and I laid my head on his chest, hearing his heartbeat.

I tapped my fingers into his shoulder in the sound of his heartbeat, loving the feeling of being this peaceful, this content.

Nathan POV -

I woke to the sound of Alicia's voice.

"What did I ever do to deserve you?" She whispered, and I didn't open my eyes, or reply to her.

I felt her shift beside me.

"You're too good, you know that? You're amazing, and nice and kind, I just don't know why you're still dealing with me." Her head laid on my chest at the words, and I prayed she didn't hear my rapidly beating heart.

I love you, that's why.

And your amazing, and smart, and one of a kind. I love you, and I hope someday you can love me too.

I slung my arm around her, keeping her pinned to my body when she tried to move away.

I groaned, pretending to be asleep and pulled her closer, making her lay on the couch next to me, our body pressed against each other.

Like it was meant to be.

Alicia POV -

Last night, I struggled to leave a few times before giving up, and I lifted some of the blanket onto myself, pressing my back against Nathan's front.

To the steady beat of his heart, I fell asleep.

Now, here I am, sun rays shining through the curtain and a warm fuzzy feeling in my body.

I'm okay.

I snuggled back into Nathan, and I realized his fingers were awake, tracing on my thigh.

"Morning." I whispered behind me, to which he replied;

"Morning sweetheart."

I closed my eyes again when I smiled, and I snuggled closer, trying to rid any space in-between us.

I heard him release a low groan, and I paused, looking back at his pained face.

"Oh gosh, am I hurting you?" I answered, beginning to shift away from him.

He breathed deeply, shaking his head.

"No....not in the way you think." I furrowed my brows as he gripped my hips, pulling me back until I felt something hard on the top of my thigh.

"Nathan..."I raised an eyebrow, and he hid his face in my neck, chuckling.

"It's what happens when you wriggle around like that." He breathed, and I sighed, feeling a bit playful.

I turned all the way around, and put my hands low on his body, nearly touching.

He narrowed his eyes as I leaned in closer, brushing my lips to his "seductively".

"Want me to fix it for you?" He grumbled something before gripping my hips hard in his hands and stuffing his face in my neck.

"Shit. Don't do that to me." His voice was muffled, and I laughed at him, pulling away.

"Fine. I'll just go eat breakfast." He pulled me back, and I rolled my eyes at his indecisive actions.

"No, come back." He whined, making me smile.

"You know what I love about you?" He asked, looking at me.

"No, but I bet it's really cheesy."

"Well damn, it sure isn't your saltiness." I shook my head, keeping in a laugh.

"I love the way, that after everything we've been through, your so...happy." He looked in awe as I grabbed his hands, brushing off the compliment.

"Well, do you know what I love about you?" I asked, making him shake his head.

"I love your hands." I stated, holding his hand up to our faces.

"My hands?"

"Yes, I think they're beautiful, with everything you can do with them." I explained, "I love how they're shaped for everything, light enough to draw art, rough when it comes to working with hands on. I love the indents in your palm, and the lines between each knuckle in your finger."

"I also love your words." He blurted, and I laughed at his randomness.

"No really. I love the way you talk about my normal hands like that, and how you give your ideas and comments to anything, speaking honestly. I love how head strong and independent you are, and your ability to make everything amazing." The corner of his lips lifted in a soft smile.

"You're a great boyfriend, you know that?" I snuggled into him.

"And you're a great girlfriend, you know that?" He mimicked, and pulled me close, letting us both fall in a hazy sleep.

Maybe someday, I could grow to love this beautiful human being.
