I awoke again, realizing it was only Wednesday.

Last night, after I dried my tears and Kelsey got out of the shower, we made her favorite; spaghetti and buttered bread.

She loved that stuff, and ate two plates of it before I convinced her to get to bed before she got sick.

Now, I sat up in a dark gray light filtering through the windows. I flicked a section of my curtain back, wondering if I had woken up to early, only to discover it was extremely foggy outside.

"Fantastic." I grumbled, the cold air attacking my skin as I swung off the covers, wishing the bed would swallow me whole.

I checked my side in our bedroom mirror that was pinned to the wall, and saw a nasty, multi- colored bruise the size of my fist on my ribs. I poke it lightly, instantly flinching, hissing at the pain.

"Yup, not doing that." I groaned, trying not to move my aching body to much as I slipped on leggings, a baggy sweater, and fuzzy boots.

It was cold, and I was comfy.

"Kelsey, Hun, wake up." She mumbled something of denial before turning over and snuggling back in bed.

"Kelsey, you have to get up for school." I peeled the covers off her, making her frown in distaste, trying to reach them back.

"Come on, up and at 'em."

"Can we skip today?" She asked, and I chuckled, shaking my head.

"No. You're on a friend streak here." I teased,
making her wave her hand at me in a case to shut me up.

"Look, if you go today we can skip Friday. Deal? A three day weekend." She jumps out of bed, already at her drawers before I finished.

"Okay sissy." She agreed, and I kissed the top of her head.

"Dress warm, I'll make breakfast."

I made two cups of cocoa, toast and an apple for both of us. She came down the stairs wearing boots, jeans and a large sweater.

"I'll eat in the car." She said, as I threw my empty plate away.

"Alright, just don't spill." She nodded as we hurried outside, feeling moist air against our cheeks, the cold nipping at our hands.

In the car, I blasted heat as she munch on her toast, drinking hot cocoa and making shapes in the fog on the window.

"Who's  your new friend going to be today?" I asked, making her think for a second.

"I don't know, but I really hope her names Alisha. That's a pretty cool name." She smirked, and I laughed at her logic, pulling up at her school.

"Well go find an Alisha for me." She nodded, finishing her toast and grabbing her apple and cocoa, sliding out of the car and running into the school where her friends waited.

I'm so proud of her.

I smiled at the random thought all the way to my school, where i immediately ran into Nathan who stood by the doors, eyes darting about to everyone's face, then settling on mine.

No.

I darted past, ready to make a run to the library before he snagged my back pack, holding me back.

"Where are you in a rush too?" He asked, looking down at me with warm eyes.

You've got to be kidding me.

"The library." I huffed, fixing my backpack as I looked up at his attractive face.

How is it I'm looking up at him?
