Don't play the song until I say!
The fire flickered and filled the room with a sense of warmth. A beautiful silence surrounded them, only interrupted by the turning of a page. Ron and Hermione's evenings were often spent like this; wrapped in blankets and each other, accompanied by the sound of silence and books. However tonight it was Ron who was turning the pages, whilst Hermione slept.
Immersed in the story, Ron hardly noticed Hermione stir and open her eyes. She stared up at him, smiling. After all these years, she had finally got him to read something worthwhile. His sapphire eyes glided across the page, taking in every word. Only when Hermione squeezed his hand did his attention move to her.
Despite her disturbing his reading, Ron couldn't care less. He stared at the woman of his dreams with his same old goofy smile. They exchanged no words, just glances that said more than enough. Hermione rose off the sofa, letting her borrowed sweater drop down just past her hips. As she tugged at the bottom of the jumper, desperately trying to cover herself more, her shoulder slipped out from beneath the maroon wool. Ron smiled the same, goofy smile. His eyes gazed right from her toes, up past the yellow 'R' of her sweater, to her sleepy face.
"I do not deserve you Hermione Jean Granger."

Her arms snaked up around his neck at the same time as he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close. They exchanged a gaze worth more than a million love songs, before engaging in a soft but meaningful kiss.
As they drew apart, Ron pulled her closer still and she placed her head on his warm and muscular chest. As if by magic, the room was filled with a gentle melody as the couple began swaying around. Spinning and stepping in time to the music and the beat of each others hearts. Never before had there been a pair more in love. Never before had there been two souls so perfect for each other. Never before had either of them felt so happy.
They, of course, had studied magic together for over ten years. They knew all sorts of charms and spells. But this was a new sort of magic. This was magic that you couldn't read in books. This was magic you couldn't conjure with a wand. You couldn't brew this in a cauldron. No amount of Hermione's logic could explain this magic.
Hermione pulled herself away from Ron and they took each others hands. He spun her around, beneath his arms. She stumbled after too much spinning, and as she giggled Ron lifted her. She wrapped her legs around him, holding his neck. His hands ran down her back and to her hips where he stayed so he could support her. Another gaze, followed by another kiss. How lucky they were to have each other. To Ron, Hermione was the most beautiful girl in the world: her bushy hair, chocolate eyes and button nose. To Hermione, Ron was the most handsome man she would ever know: his fiery hair, dazzling eyes and constellations of freckles. He loved her and she loved him. Nothing in the world could change that.
It was perfect.
