A Monster Within

Chapter 4

Tifa's Pov:

Huh? Where...am I?. I was in pain. I could just manage to peers my eyes opened. I was in a strange place...but...where? I managed to gain conscious and had my eyes wide open. It was dark. The place surrounded by cables that linked to a machine and....was linked to me? What? Why?

I sat up panicking remembering what happened before I lost conscious. Sephiroth.... I plucked the cables carefully out of my skin but at the same time I heard footsteps becoming louder and louder by the minute.

I faced where the sound was coming from and it was...Sephiroth... I could feel my blood heat rising and my hands clenching.

''Ah, you're awake? Hm, seems like it..'' Said Sephiroth as he appeared from the darkness far back and revealed his flesh in the light. ''Tch...'' I tutted...I had nothing to say to him...in fact I did but...nothing was worth saying...I'm dying anyway...

''Hmm, you're feisty one aren't you'' he lifted my chin to peer into my eyes. But immediately I pulled away sharply looking back down avoiding eye contact.

''Why?....'' I said

''Ha, you're blood is useful to me...I will take every last drop to continue a new breed where all angels will only roam around the streets of Nielbiem and Midgar. You're precious Cloud won't even save you now...'' He was about to turn on the machine...the machine to take my blood...when all of a sudden I hear a faint roar of motorcycle engines becoming louder.

Seconds later, the door burst down pouring invaders into it. They were not invaders...they were AVALANCHE and...Cloud...I felt so relieved I burst into tears.

''Cloud!!'' I screamed struggling to break free from the cables. I caught Sephiroth's glare at me and Cloud.

''Tifa!!'' Cloud's eyes widen letting a sigh of relief knowing I was ok.

''Come to join the show Cloud?'' Said Sephiroth making his way slowly to Cloud.

''Let her go Sephiroth''

''You think I'd let her go that easily. Come on, we both know that wouldn't happen''

Cloud grabbed his broadsword and aimed it towards Sephiroth and repeated his words angrily.

''This won't end without an easy fight...Cloud'' Sephiroth pointed his sword at Cloud and skill fully made his first attack but Cloud eventually blocked it.

Cloud make his first attack and leaped over to him Sephiroth to get a clear aim but of course Sephiroth saw it coming and blocked it instantly sending Cloud flying backwards and managed to land on his feet.

The lair was filled with violence, screams, blood and the sound of swords clashing. Cloud surprisingly made his attack and brought Sephiroth down.

''No.....'' Were the last words that came from Sephiroth's mouth. His body faded and became...once again...one with the lifestream.

I managed to take off the cables during the fight and felt weak in my legs and collapsed to the ground.

Cloud's Pov:

I stood there breathless...I defeated him again...none of that matters now...I saw Tifa collapse and rushed towards her and cradled her in my arms once again knowing that she is now safe and sound .

I placed her behind me on my motorcycle and we rode off back to 7th Heaven where the kids awaited us.

''Cloud! Tifa!'' Shouted Marlene and Denzel as they sprinted towards us.

I gently picked up Tifa in his arms and placed her inside on her bed.

''Is she alright Cloud?'' Said Marlene. I could hear a tremble in her voice.

''She needs rest marlene...she'll be fine in the morning. Come on it's time for bed'' I took Marlene and Denzel into their rooms and tucked them in and kissed their foreheads a goodnight.

I made my way back into my room where Tifa was peacefully sleeping. I was happy now that she is alright and safe. I slowly laid beside her and cuddled her in my arms...not ever wanting to let go...never again...
