A Merman's Wish

And so it begins (part 1)

I moved to look at him, but before I could he wrapped his arms around my waist and laid his head on my shoulder. "Ocean I-i...i don't..." he cut me off by looking at me. He just shook his head and placed it in the crook of my neck. I placed my hand over his not saying anything for it would seem rude if I did. He let go of me, turned me around to face him, took my hand into his own, and held it to his chest. His heart was beating so fast it almost felt like it was going to burst right out of his chest.

I looked up at him and he kept his head down. I wanted to tell him but for some reason the words just wouldn't come. After a while of silence he let go of my hand and turned away from me. I looked at Osiris who in turn looked at me sadly and turned blue with little red hearts that were breaking in half and disappearing. "Ocean I..." suddenly i felt a strong surge of power coming from the ocean. I got up and ran to the door just in time to be blown against the wall. I fell to the ground and Ocean ran in front of me trying to protect me, but i stood up and moved him to the side not wanting him to get hurt. "Who are you?" I asked as i felt the power surge again, but this time it was coming from my left and i quickly made a barrier between me and my attackers just as a another blast was coming. After the blast had cleared there were three figures standing around the barrier, each holding what looked like tridents. Ocean looked like he recognized them and his features hardened. I turned back to the three in front of us.
"Who are you?" They didn't answer me they just kept getting closer.
"I'm warning you!" they made no move to stop and just as I was getting ready to attack Ocean placed his hand on my shoulder. I looked at him and he made a gesture like he was writing something. It took me a minute to realize that he was telling me that these men in front of us were his brothers. Slowly I let the barrier down and Ocean stood in front of me.

"Ocean what are you doing here?"

"..."

"He didn't answer Caspian, what do you think is wrong Tito"

"I don't know Toto"

"..." Ocean rolled his eyes at his brothers antics.

"Ocean what did that she-devil do to you?" Caspian's features hardened as he looked at me.

"I didn't do this"

"And you expect me to believe you"

"not really you over-sized bag of... " Ocean looked back at me shaking his head. I was about to plead my case when I felt another surge of power one from the ocean, and as I pushed past everyone I saw a storm brewing over the docks.

"Oh no"
