Once she opened the door to the mansion she lived in, she heard no one there. "Mom, dad?" She called out.
"King? Major? Deja?"
No one answered; there was only silence. She ran straight up to her room and locked the door. There, she walked into her dark bathroom and prepared to see the look of a life time.
She slowly closed the door and shut her eyes, tightly, before turning the lights on. Once she flicked them on, her eyelids immediately opened, and she eyed her appearance as it stuck out like a sore thumb.
"Look at me..." She said, lowly, gently touching her cheek.
She'd gotten plastic surgery around her cheekbones, and her nose. The surgeon widened and lengthened her nose a little, and made her cheekbones so high that she'd looked like a killer Barbie doll. Her hair was cut in a pixie cut, which was also done at the hospital.
As she stared into the mirror more at he unattractive appearance, her heart dropped. For 18 years, she had this one, gorgeous look that she was overly satisfied with; she always took pictures, model, dance in videos, make every boy's head who'd she'd pass by turn, and she had confidence. But she did it for a friend, and somehow she'd make it work.
The next day..
"Princeton, man, I can't wait until I see y'all again. Being with my family is total bull." Ray groaned over the phone.
"What's wrong with your family? Y'all always have something going on!"
"It's these rules. I'm 18, and as SOON as I get back from almost three months of torture, they tell me to do my chores."
"Wow, man. At least you don't have to chase after pigs like Prod." Prince laughed.
"Prod chase pigs?"
"Yeah! He live in Philadelphia- he in the country, man."
"Philadelphia ain't like that... is it?"
"Shiit, ask Prod. He got to chase after those pigs and chickens every day."
Ray paused a little and giggled.
"Damn! I guess I do have it a little better."
"Yeah you do, man. Listen, can I ask you a serious question?" Prince asked as his jokey tone turned into a serious one.
"What is it, bro?"
"Okay... it's with Reginae-"
"That was FUNNY. What you did on stage... I've been laughing at that for the pass four days." Ray interrupted.
"You really think that's funny? She was humiliated, Ray!"
"I know, I know. But she's conceited as hell! She needed to be put in her place."
Princeton knew Ray Ray wasn't the correct one to talk about this. He would just joke around and not take it seriously at all. Prince sighed and leaned his head to the side.
"I'll call you back, okay? I have to go somewhere." He lied.
"Alright, man. Call me back though!"
"I'll try."
Prince hung up then dialed Roc's phone number. As the phone rung, he took a deep breath and prepared the lecture he KNEW Roc was going to give him. Roc was the youngest of the group, but the wisest. It was like his job to keep the boys in check when they were in the wrong, and that's just what he did. Once the phone stopped ringing and Roc picked up, Prince made a deep sigh.
"What's up, my Mexican nigga?" Roc answered.
"Hey, Roc. Look, I really have to talk to you about something." Prince groaned while twisting his feet on the bed a little.
