Sol had a feeling that day in knight training. He knew that Asopus would be waiting for him. He knew that this was the day that it would go down. And he was right. As soon as training ended, Sol went to head home, and found Asopus leaning against a wall, ready to fight. Before Sol could say a word, Asopus drew his sword and charged at Sol, who narrowly dodged the attack. Once Asopus was behind Sol, he drew his sword and managed to hit Asopus from behind. Asopus fell back with a shriek, but Sol knew he couldn't feel pity for a creature of pure darkness. He jabbed his sword into Asopus' hand, and realized Tymek was correct. Shadow was oozing out of Asopus' palm, slowly turning his skin black. Asopus got up, and the battle raged on for a few minutes, with swords flying from every direction. At first Sol was hopeful, and felt as if he would be able to beat Asopus, after cutting his hand so easily, until he realized that the blackness from the blood was spreading all over Asopus' body, until it fully covered him. The once handsome young "man", was now covered in shadow, with red eyes and horns atop his head. Asopus was now a demon, through and through.
"You're dead dragon boy!" Asopus' new shrieking voice called out. He threw his sword, and it landed right in the middle of Sol's hand. "Sorry, I was aiming for your head!" Asopus cackled. The impact had blasted Sol's sword out of his hand, and shot him to the ground. Sol quickly tried to pull the sword out, but to no avail.
Sol was stuck to the ground, pierced by a sword through his hand.
Asopus started walking towards Sol, seemingly pleased with his "miss". He pulled the sword out of Sol's hand, and pointed it to his neck.
"I expected more of a challenge dragon boy. Oh well, at least lord Zerek will finally reach his true power!" Asopus spat.
But Sol was determined, he had to escape! He couldn't just let his family's name die, could he? Suddenly, something surged through Sol. He couldn't tell what it was, but he almost felt like water. Then the most peculiar thing happened; almost as if he WAS water, he slipped between Asopus' legs! He felt some kind of energy pulsating through him, and before he could figure out what was happening, he put his hands together, and a blast of water shot out, impaling Asopus right in the chest! Asopus fell to the ground gasping for air (or a shadow's equivalent to air), and Sol quickly stood above him, so he couldn't move.
"You'd better get one thing straight, if Zerek so much as touches me, I'll destroy everything he stands for!" Sol exclaimed, believing that the battle was over. What he didn't know, was that the battle wasn't over, in fact, quite far from it.
"Muahahaha, did you really think it would be that easy? I'm a shadow being, nothing can stop me!" Asopus shrieked. Sol couldn't believe what he was hearing, and before he knew it, Asopus had floated right through him, back onto his feet! Asopus had no choice but to slam Sol in the face, as they had both been disarmed. Sol fell to the ground, but quickly got up and tried to shoot another water blast.
Nothing happened.
Asopus, instead, shot a shadow blast that rammed Sol into a tree, scratching up his back. Then, he shot a huge ball of shadow towards Sol, and the blast seems fatal. But when he should have been living his last few milliseconds, an equally sized ball of water bursted out from his body, and turned both blasts towards Asopus, slamming him so hard into the ground, that it made a large crater. Asopus was dead surely, and all that remained was a puddle of black goop. Sol walked over, and laughed at his victory, was this what it felt like to win a battle?
Before he could answer, Asopus shot up from the puddle and blasted Sol with and entire leg that had been transformed into shadow goo. Sol fell into the crater, twitching in pain, but Asopus wasn't done. Blast after blast, explosion after explosion, and all Sol could do was cling on to his life, with everything he had, which wasn't much. All of his bones were broken, blood was everywhere, and the only thing he could still feel were his eyes, which he used to watch Asopus dig the crater deeper and deeper. Suddenly everything went black...
And then, Sol the dragon boy, final descendent of the Draekons, died.
He woke up to a bright light, or at least he thought he did. Was he in heaven? He couldn't be! Hell maybe? Limbo?! No... Wherever he was, he knew nobody had ever been before.
"Greetings my friend. My name is Laden Draekon." Called a familiar, yet strange voice. It was cheery, but had a sad story behind it. An accent to, Scandinavian maybe? Sol focused his eyes, and to his surprise, saw a blue humanoid three headed dragon in a silk robe.
"What is this place? Who are you? I thought dragons were extinct!" Sol cried.
"This is the draconic chamber. Again, I am Laden Draekon, or Lord Draekon if you prefer. Dragons are extinct in your world, but far from it in this place. You see, the draconic chamber is rather like dragon heaven. When a dragon or dragon family member dies, they show up here. I understand that you have recently went through a very tough situation. Would you like to talk about it?" Laden asked eagerly.
"Wait... Did you say Draekon?" Sol asked excitedly.
"Of course my boy, but this time do try to remember, it is Laden Draekon, or Lord Draekon. Now, tell me about your death, I want to hear all of the details!" Laden explained.
"First, explain to me who I am, if you're truly a Draekon, then we're related, and you should know me" Sol shouted.
"Well my boy, I can't explain to you who you are, you must discover that for yourself!" Laden chuckled, "Now, I won't ask again, tell me about your death! I heard you died protecting the Draekon name!"
"Fine, I'll tell you. I was recently told about my true family, the Draekons, and how they were killed by king Zerek, so I set out for revenge, and quickly learned that if I die, he will get unlimited power. So if you would, please tell me how to get back to my own world!" Sol stated somewhat agitated.
"Patience friend, I will send you back to your world if that's what you wish, but first I need to clear up some information with you, and introduce you to a few of my friends. Come along..."
