A/N: Whaddya guys think of the new cover? Pretty fancy if I say so myself . . .

Edaline rushed Sophie to her room. "We have to find something for you to wear!" She said going through Sophie's closet. She reached into the back and grabbed one of the gowns that Edaline had bought for her. "It's perfect!" She held up a strapless red gown with a ton of ruffles that poofed out like Cinderella's dress. "Um, can't I just wear my tunic instead?" Sophie asked nervously, definitely NOT wanting to suffer through the pain of strapless. Edaline frowned "Sophie, please just dress up for once," Sophie sighed, Edaline looked so sad, that she couldn't disagree. "FINE," she grumbled pulling on the dress "Just this once."

Sophie suffered through Edaline doing her makeup, and started sneezing right after she finished. Some of the powder had gotten up her nose. After Sophie stopped sneezing, she, Grady, and Edaline stepped onto the Leapmaster and shouted EVERGLEN! They arrived at Everglen's glowing gates and Sophie heard laughing, they walked through and saw a crowd of people standing around talking on the Vacker's front lawn. "Um, I thought we were going to dinner," Sophie said "And we are!" Edaline said cheerfully "It's a dinner celebration for Fitz graduating to the Elite towers!" "Sophie!" Biana appeared in front of them "I'm so glad your her! You're just in time!" "In time for what?" Sophie asked but Biana didn't answer and instead pulled Sophie to a table with a couple of elves and a LOT of papers. "What's this?" Sophie asked "It's where you apply for your matchmaking scrolls!" Biana squealed. "Oh," The large stacks of paper and stern elves didn't look very appealing to Sophie. But then Biana sighed, "Unfortunately we are going to have to wait until the party is over to apply," Biana glanced longingly at the giant stacks of paper, Sophie brightened, "Great! Lets go find some Mallowmelt!" and so the search began.

Sophie spotted a tray of Mallowmelt out of the corner of her eye, charging, she accidentally crashed into a handsome guy with ice blue eyes "Keefe?" Sophie asked staring "Foster, looking good!" Keefe winked and Sophie blushed "Why where you in such a hurry to get to me?" Keefe smirked "There'll be plenty of the Mighty Keefe left over ya know," Sophie blushed "I was just trying to get some Mallowmelt," Keefe's eyes widened and Sophie turned around.

Fitz walked towards her in a tailored suit that fit him just right, showing off big muscles and a hot-surfer-dude-worthy tan. Not being able to help herself, Sophie sighed and a bunch of girls from Foxfire gathered around him, each trying to get his attention. "Fitz! Stop trying to steal all the ladies!" Keefe told him when he got over to them, Fitz laughed "What? Afraid that the Mighty Keefe will lose his reputation?" Keefe glanced quickly at Sophie and then looked back at Fitz "Of course not! I'm just looking out for you! You would probably not be able to handle all the attention," Keefe smirked but it looked slightly forced now.

"Hey Sophie," Fitz looked at her and Sophie thought she would faint, his ice-teal blue eyes were to die for. "Um-hi!" she finally managed to blurt out. Alden came over, "Fitz, Lihn and Tam are here. Would you like to welcome them since they aren't yet comfortable with the Lost Cities?" Fitz nodded and Alden led him away. Sophie turned around and caught Keefe glaring at Fitz "What's wrong Keefe?" Sophie asked, glancing at the very temping Mallowmelt behind him. Keefe sighed, "It's just that Fitz has everything: the family, the looks, everything. And I have nothing, except for my awesome Hair," Sophie almost cried, she knew how awful his parents were and the last of the Mallowmelt was just eaten. "If it makes you feel any better Keefe, you do have the looks," Sophie said patting him on the back. Then she did a mental face palm, that had not come out how she had wanted it to. Keefe smirked "Did you just call me hot Foster?" Sophie blushed "No! Just that you look good - I mean - you don't look bad," Sophie's face was on fire "Well if it helps, I think you look cute too, Foster," Sophie didn't know what to say. Luckily Grady saved her, he seemed to hang around more often than usual these days. "Sophie! Come here! The gnomes are about to preform!"

A/N: Strange ending, I know. Fun Fact: The dress in the picture on the top is the dress Sophie wore!!! I kind of had a mindset of FOOD!!! when I wrote this, so that's why there were so many mentions of Mallowmelt. Yum! Any ideas of what would happen at an Elvin party? Comment your ideas! ('cause I have not idea. If I use them, I'll give credit to you too)
