Robin...
First days of anything can be a little bit scary, even if you have been face to face with the best murderer in the world. The worst thing is the first day of a new school. Ever since Batman took me under his wing and out of that orphanage, I have been home schooled. This year, my senior year, is my first year back to school in a long time.
Not that I minded. Usually, they would send us to public schools to quell down small teen aged gangs forming there, but this time they are sending me to Gotham Elite Secondary School. GESS for short. Only the richest, smartest, and most amazing kids in Gotham and surrounding areas could go there.
"It's a small school after all." Wally joked as we walked in.
When I said smartest, it was an understatement. Half the kids here are smart, but use it in a stupid way.
We strode our way through the giant courtyard, students around us mingling and chatting. Around a giant fountain in the middle, a group of girls giggled together.
"I am being summoned. Bye Robin!" Wally said as he walked towards the chatting girls.
"W-wait for me!" I said.
I followed him, not knowing what to do.
"Dude, I know you have been kept up in the Mountain for years, but loosen up. Now that Night left you are a free man." He said, clapping his hand on my shoulder.
"Don't mention Night." I scathed.
Wally is my best friend, but sometimes he doesn't remember to think. Right after Night left, Wally and Artemis split up, and we weren't allowed to mention her at all around him. Now that he is ok, he is ok with mentioning Night right in front of me and how I am single now.
"Hey, are you new here?" A blonde girl in a cheerleading uniform and pom poms said as we walked up.
"Yeah, Im Wally and this is Robin. What might your name be?" Wally flirted.
"Well, I am Jade, this is Ava, Rachel, and Emma." She giggled back.
I rolled my eyes, and searched around the campus for something else to do. I had no intention of getting with these cheerleaders.
"OMG ITS FIRE! SAPPHIRE OVER HERE GIRLY!" Jade screamed, waving her hands in a flurry of pom poms and navy nail polish.
I turned to see what this Sapphire girl looked like. Dark hair, pale skin, and those blue eyes I could never forget.
Nightshadow was walking towards us in a navy blue and white cheerleading uniform.
